@Anyone saying "then don't get the footprints": No shit Sherlock, unfortunately that crap is free, there will be enough willing advertisers plastering my screen with Razer logos when I am in town. Not that I have problems with that company, I have problems with real world company logos in a medieval themed (not exactly, but close enough) game world.

Can't remember where I read it, but as someone else suggested: Coca Cola flasks next. -.-

It is cool and for free, so why not?

Dislike.

Not only is it extremely blatant, but it seems very lazy. Each footstep, a logo is printed that spins slightly as it fades out. Boring. It could have been a cool snake pet. Or an item with unique artwork. Maybe a helmet that looks similar to Starkonja's Head, but with a snake's head instead. Or a dagger or scimitar-type sword that's a giant snake fang. A body armor retextured to look like snake scales.

The possibilities are there, but those footsteps do nothing to make me want to subscribe to Razer's product. Firefall's promotional battleframe paint was much more enticing because it was both cool and subtle, coloring your battleframe the same shades of green and black used in Razer's logo. Of course, that came with purchased peripherals instead of a free software sign-up, so it wasn't so easy to get either.

Strongly dislike. Ads for other companies and products should be visible to people who haven't paid anything for the game, so at least they are generating some revenue.

People who have already paid their fair share shouldn't have to see advertising spam as they stand around in Sarn. Games where you pay money and still have to put up with advertising are a pet hate of mine, and I think there is a solid ethical justification for my stance on that. Just my 2cents.

Oh, and they aren't footprints, they are massive stamps all over the ground. I have footprints, almost all of them I think, and they are all far smaller (like, foot sized).

Agreed, those aren't exactly foot print sized. Please allow disabling them for supporters as well, many sites allow you to hide advertisements if you are a "subscriber". Companies logos should not be in the game world.

Totally ruins Wraeclast to have to see massive company logos all over the ground, and I don't feel I should have to.

Don't get so stressed about them peeps. I doubt you are goign to be partying with 5 other people who have the foot prints all turned on. It's not ruining anything, you might see them in town for like 2 mins while you vendor your finds but other then that I'm sure you are making a bigger fuss then you need to if you don't like them. GGG needs the support. Hell it's a free game. The more $$ they have the better game you will receive. Do you people ever watch tv. Your favourite shows are supported by selling advertising space. Sure in a perfect world there would be no ads. But GGG need the dollar dollar bill yo.
