[1.1.0] The Covenant Pulser (7,500 life/ES + 14,600 dps x 3) (Videos)
So, I finally got my hands on a 6L Covenant Robe :
The extra link finally allows me to use Added Lightning damage. Like expected, its a considerable dps boost for freezing pulse : it jumps from 8,936 to 11,947. In addition, the lightning damage allows the character to shock enemies for even more dps. With 46-56% chance to crit and 3 cast per second, the chances to shock are pretty high. Also, to get Power Charges, I started using Cast on Damage taken with Ice Spear + Power Charges on Critical Chance. Its a surprisingly reliable way to get 3 power charges, particularly while soloing. So, with 3 power charges, freezing pulse dps reach 13,675. I may post a gameplay video with my new "toys" soon. This is very inspiring. I'm working on a similar build myself but I'm thinking max block and high crit with Cybil's Paw. Mainly to get the life gain on spell but go for as high block as possible to get the most spell dmg out of it aswell. Ghost Reaver instead of Zealot's Oath. Use life leech gem until you get very high crit and then switch life leech for damage gem (crit chance/added cold/crit damage). Since I'll use FP or Ice Spear, I'll use one or two Berek's grip for the life leech on frozen mobs once I get sufficient crit.

" Not a bad idea at all. So you'll basically get life back with regen and Life on hit and Energy shield back with life leech. I have no doubt that Ghost reaver will be very efficient to get your ES back. Much more than Shavronne revelation + Voidbringer combo, even with if you use a single Berek's grip. I'm just wondering if Cybil's paw's "8 life for each enemy hit by your spells" will be sufficient to get your life back from intense FP casting. One thing is sure, I wouldn't advise using the Voidbringer gloves with this setup. The 80% increased mana cost of skills" would hurt too much. Just to be safe, you may want to plan using the Blood dance boots for the extra life regen. Shadow : Covenant Pulser (504561)

I had a blood magic pulser before 1.1, that heavily relied on crit chance/dmg for dps (voll's protector instead of covenant), did you find any difficult to handle reflect with the new LL mechanics?

" Its slightly worst than it was before but its not too bad. When you stop attacking (usually when all the enemies are dead), you don't always quickly regen to full life, like pre 1.1. Sometimes, you have to drink a potion to speed up the process. Shadow : Covenant Pulser (504561)

And during the fight? We now have +2 extra max cold res from mara passives, but fp projectiles have all the same speed so you'll only leech from 1hit but get reflected for all the hits, am i right? Haven't tried out the new patch yet, but that leech stuff sounds like "screw aoe crit" to me.

" The elemental reflect packs that I fought weren't really too bad. Of course, the 3500 ES buffer helps with that. I can also use the flame totem that dish out pretty decent Aoe damage (10k dps) without any damage reflected. Shadow : Covenant Pulser (504561)
