Versatile Crit Dagger Shadow using the Ghost Reaver passive node amongst others
Character: Level 77 Shadow in HC by the name of Keiianved skill tree build is: here Explanation of build: Not sure if it is anything unusual or different, more that it is just a very versatile shadow with the ability to keep flicker up for quite a while due to the high dps output on flicker strike. also has the ability to facetank mobs due to the ghost reaver keystone, the surgeon's granite flasks and the eye of chayula unique. Makes use of purity as one of it's auras to max it's resists, which might be relevant to the upcoming changes - resistance penalties. gameplay video example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XcPgqbW1kLo&feature=player_embedded Build of the Week 14 The first Righteous Fire/Non-Shavronne's/Shavronne's HC Shameless self-proclaimed theory-crafting extraordinaire and forum crusader Last edited by Invalesco on Sep 20, 2012, 5:57:25 PM

Actually, let me enter another character:
Name: Onin Build: Spark Shadow Cool because: Lightning everywhere! This character is level 37. In my previous experience, that's pretty early to be having so much fun with a build :D Offense: I created this Shadow with two purposes in mind: Lightning spells, and some kind of cool Trap use. The main attack is Spark, with a very fast (0,41) cast speed, pretty good crit chance (to build up Shocked stacks), Pierce and Faster Projectiles. For pure AoE damage, I have Trap of Lightning Warp, which is surprisingly effective (although costly). These two spells are just ridiculously fun to use and real killing machines, too. Defense: CI was an obvious choice, and alongside it I use Whirling Blades with Cold Damage support for added slowing, plenty to get out of jail. Don't really need much more.
Guess I'll throw the updated Monopoly Legend up here.
MonopolyLegend
The tree If I could have picked a different starting character, I probably would have...as it was, I only had a level 70+ Marauder to work with at the time of the last passive wipe. It's not the best build by any means, but it seems to be unique and definitely is capable of doing maps depending on the mods (I've been doing up to level 63 Rare maps, could probably go a bit higher). A Kaom's Heart would fix this build up quite a bit, as the biggest issue is a lack of life (only ~1.5k when auras are on). I don't necessarily need my chest sockets - I could re-socket my bow/boots (or use weapon swap) for additional sockets to hold the necessary gems. I'm also using quite a few slots to level up some supports right now; those are dispensable. So is the Portal gem...I pretty much never use it anyway. In any case, this build is a Point Blank Bow Marauder focusing on Critical chance/damage and weapon elemental damage (mainly fire). Frenzy is my skill of choice. I picked it over Burning Arrow because I lack physical damage, and the Frenzy Charges give me higher attack speed which effectively multiplies all of my damage (technically even the critical modifiers). I can generally kill regular mobs in one attack providing they're close enough. A critical hit allows me to one-shot pretty much any monster, including Unique map bosses. However, I have to be in melee range to do so much damage. Otherwise, it generally takes 2-3 criticals to kill a Unique mob. Diamond Flasks are a huge help with this. Whenever I get swarmed by monsters, I usually pop a Granite and Diamond flask then spam a few AoE Frenzy shots. I may change this up for Rain of Arrows after some testing...probably not, however. Regardless, the Granite Flask allows me to tank for a crucial second or two while the Diamond Flask allows my AoE Frenzy to make quick work of the offending mobs. I am lacking in Lightning resistance at the moment, but I can always sacrifice some DPS by replacing my rings with Topaz rings if/when necessary. My DPS will go even higher once my newly added gems catch up in levels. You'll notice a lot of them are only level 9-12 compared to many 16-17. The DPS increase really won't make a huge difference, as survivability is the biggest issue with the build right now. In any case, my Critical Weakness curse will bring over 30% critical strike chance once it's fully leveled, not to mention ~500-600% Crit multiplier (not sure on the final number, haven't done the math). A critical strike effectively multiplies my damage by 5.5x right now, I believe. Eventually this will be a 6-7x multiplier.

" Hey Chris, give me 72 skill points on my shadow and I'll show you a really interesting build! ;)
Fusser(lvl 69) : Pain attunement/cold to fire/crit/ice-spear witch...
So,let me show you guys my build. If there was a build like mine earlier then excuse me for this post. My witch has around 500 life and about 1700 energy shield with Discipline on.Thats enough for me because I attack on distance and don't go close to the enemies.I also use totem + summon skeletons to draw away monsters while I attack them.I use Haste aura + Blood magic to increase my cast speed and to stay on low life(because of Pain attunement skill).I use Ice spear as my main skill + mana leech + lesser multiple projectiles and + Cold to fire.My crit chance is about 40% and this is more than I need.If I attack from distance I'll get critical strikes only.I also have increase critical strike damage passives(i can't remember the value-it's about 500%).I also have increase fire/cold/spell damage and increase cast speed passives.I don't need any defensive skills and Mana leech hold my mana level perfectly(I don't even use potions).Cold to fire support skill + ice spear+ critical chance = burning damage. And I also like my Wondertraps very much cause it gives me huge 100% increase rarity of items found :D.My damage is pretty high and if you stay on distance you won't die. Thank you very much guys and sorry for bad English!Good luck! (Maybe you remember my previous 10000+ energy shield witch build...I miss it a bit lol :D) Last edited by beastout on Sep 21, 2012, 12:11:47 AM

Player Name: Leslie
Character: Lezli, level 6X ranger Unique Characteristic: Puts epileptic viewers into seizures Lezli is my character that I designed to rip through Fellshrine runs both quickly and as entertainingly as possible. She uses INFINITE FLICKER STRIKE at about 3 strikes per second. XD This entire build is a niche build built around a single unique item: Terminus Est By combining Terminus with 5 Diamond Flaks (all hits are criticals), as well as 15+% lifeleech (to make up for no life pots), she can keep a single casting of Blood Rage up for an entire instance. She also takes advantage of her huge lifeleech by using Blood Magic. By being able to completely ignore +crit chance, I'm allowed to focus completely on base damage in my build, to make up for the rather low damage of Terminus Est. Just a suggestion, the -20% enemy block chance against swords could be changed to +20% crit damage with swords. Note to testers: Use one diamond flask per rare mob, and use cleave for Magic mobs (not worth using pots on). <3 In-Game-Name: Lezli Last edited by Lezli on Sep 20, 2012, 4:11:09 PM

Name: Infy_BA
Class: Templar, Shock nova Variant Type: Hardcore Level: 53 Passive Build: http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAQUACHrCnArWSyoNMSecDibkRQ-Ogp0WCb_SFl5YaRfhFA8X7xjeGLpthCTt4KgmAkTjLBPyVjAa61kw2jlwNtIc6jrcqhU9jDD1PbebNz6IjOU_nl9NQxiLt0QgCaBNM76rTtfvkVYlF_9XYMW9WXzpoVr_bFhc2d8UXVWy5mfpMtR8hsoZfppk03-qyB6DhhvahnOLD40XYmOThx9-qb8HYrQKD1u8gbjmvSmZgL37qXHIOTAByrm9kctBHRHRe_jo2ZuoEtszIrjgIiIf5WPQVPNf7Vb3ZjtJ-JMbnPnheK_-i-Ku_yilDv8_eiM= This is my attempt to recreate the glory that once was shock nova. Skills: Shock Nova with faster cast, increased aoe (or concentrated effect), stun, IQ (or LL) Temporal Chains or Elemental Weakness Decoy Totem Auras: Discipline, Grace, Clarity, Haste; All with Reduced mana cost. Equipment:
Spoiler
Unavailable Unavailable Unavailable Unavailable Unavailable Unavailable Unavailable Unavailable Unavailable Unavailable Nuances of the Build: - AOE: The huge aoe makes Shock nova hit everything. It also allows for Using Concentrated effect when archers arent a worry. The outer edge of the aoe is equivalent to the distance that archers can attach. - Mana: Discipline + STR/ES armors + inner force passives/elcritch battery provide ~1200 max mana. Clairty provides regen of almost 70/sec without too much focus on regen from items/passives. -Cast Rate: approximately .4sec per cast enables frequently stunning monsters, keeping them in place, and also averaging out the high variance nature of lightning damage + increasing the chance of shocking. - Auras: The trick im using is to prebuff clarity and grace using Unavailable For 300 life, I get regen and a tolerable base evasion rate. Then taking off the mask, I use discipline for a 600ish mana boost, and haste. Even with 1200 mana and regen, I burn through mana and still need flasks to keep casting. - Stun: Stun and stun duration from items with shock nova helps keep monsters in the wide area of shock nova by stunning them. I'm able to hit all but the fastest monsters several times before they reach the deadzone. Combined with the large aoe archers don't pincushion me too badly. For the rare, annoying extra fast high base speed monsters, I have temporal chains and decoy totem. As you can see, shock nova is my only damage dealer. Everything else supports doing damage with shock nova. Things that suck: Necros. They are lightning resistant. Flicker Strike is a bit of a pain too, requires decoy totem/temp chains. My current favorite build is my 2H Sword Frenzy Duelist.
So I use frenzy thats obvious, its my main attack skill. I have so far gotten 2 extra frenzy charges on the tree, one on the duelist side and one in the Ranger area. I did this because the Frenzy skill gets more damage % and more attack speed % per charge so as my main skill this is a must have. So how to stay alive, basically I specced into pretty much every immediately available HP node and just use whatever gear has high HP mods on it. The real trick though is I use a Support Totem with Warlords mark. The HP leech percentage keeps going strong and allows me to face tank just about any kind of mob out there except maybe Vaal overlord. Infact face tanking is pretty much the only way I can stay alive. Now I'm not sure but I think I'm stun locking monsters as when I wail on them they flail back and never seem to attack as long as I'm hitting them. So that combined with health/mana leech from warlords mark I seem to stay alive pretty much all the time. Currently level 71 and running low level maps with only a little difficulty on harder mods. Now to keep up with the theme of hybrid character I use Enduring Cry and grabbed the additional charge via skill tree. That plus a granite flask for when things get really crazy and I feel I have a good surviability in merciless/maps. This also allows me to not have to focus on high armor too much, my armor rating is 2000 and only gives a damage reduction of 20% but add in the charges and I'm doing a lot better, the charges also help keep my resists up. This is my tree if anyone is interested, Skill Tree I'm not using any specific gear I'm sure anything with high HP mods will work and 2H swords with high physical damage as I'm almost entirely physical. Stats as of now are 3.3K health and 3.9DPS S L O W E R
