Official Blender Post! Lets theory craft for 1.2! 123k Cleave DPS!

Was wondering if the -20% crit damage reduction node is worth picking over a 6% health node? I'm currently at 5.2k life, 6% gives me roughly 150 extra life.

The blender is definitely map viable but not atziri. We don't have enough block and spell block to survive using the op's method. I know one guy who can kill her but he is level 90+ and stacks 400% health.

atziri blender kill

his tree

his gear

His weapons are gg so he can dropout damage nodes and take up life for an impressive 8.2k hp

But the regular blender spec is fine and will take you to endgame mapping

you dont need that much hp for atziri . neither crazy high dps/block/resistance. any decent blender build with 5+ k life and nice dps can do it easy.

no doubt you should take 20% red. crit damage .. one of the best defensive nodes in the entire tree imo.

Thanks, yeah now that I think about it, 150 extra life is nothing compared to that.

IMHO Atziri is totally fine with a blender once you get the basics of the fight down. I've killed her around 30 times, stopped dying at her after 10 fights or so.

this is my tree:

Items:

I got 6300 life, 36k tooltip dps with cyclone, 13k armour and 75 elemental res.
Not the first time I've done something stupid in POE while being sleepy/intoxicated, but here it is:

Not that the added quality would have helped me too much, but still a very dumb error.

But the result is much better than I expected it to be. Since 45% of my damage is elemental, this helps a LOT for dps.

My question is since now using Enfeeble on CWDT is pointless, what would be a good replacement for it? I already have Enduring Cry and Decoy Totem on CWDT.

Anyway, I'm not sure I'll keep using these gloves, although the dps increase is very nice, I value the survivability from Enfeeble a bit higher.

Enfeeble is still good. It will enfeeble anyone who hasn't been touched by those gloves yet, especially projectile throwers. The ele weakness will override it once hit.

I have cwdt enfeeble and temp chains on hit for max defence. It will be even better once I get my hands on a decent amulet with +1 curse.
So many strikes within one breath.
But only one strike needed, for certain death.
A fair point, but given the speed with which I move around and attack enemies, the curse doesn't stay on for more than a fraction of a second. I've decided to use the free socket for leveling gems for now. Most of the time ranged monsters aren't that scary anyway I think.

How feasible is the Taming in this build? With attack speeds easily reaching the 10.0 area, the 5% freeze chance sounds quite nice to me.

Since Soul Taker's physical damage counts towards chilling, would it also apply towards freezing?

I think the soul taker only chills.
Duration of the freeze would depend on your cold damage, ie hatred aura, so I believe the freeze wouldn't last for more than 1/2 a second, if at all.
But I'm really just guessing since I don't own a taming.

My character crits often and the hatred aura freezes on crit but it doesn't last long at all, even with such high crit damage.

On a side note, if you ever get the chance to use temp chains on hit gloves, do so! The temp chains and chilling effect from the soul taker seem to stack and enemies become extra slow. That's 30% from chill and 29-30% from gloves.
