[OSX] Unofficial Path of Exile port - 30/12/2018 status update
I'm getting massive lag whenever I do the Merveil boss battle. Tried it twice, I'm able to load the map/scene, but whenever Merveil starts at attack, I get massive amounts of lag,I don't think it's network, and I'm sure my system should be able to handle it...
I'm on a: MacBook Pro, Mid 2012 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024 MB OS X 10.9.2 (13C64) Running the latest v5. |

" I'm getting this same error. Game loads up, get the first sound of the main menu and throws out that error. Has this already been resolved previously in this thread? I can't take the time to look through 200+ pages unfortunately. Hopefully someone here knows how to fix this... I'm also running on a mid 2014. | |
" I've already seen those deserialize packets errors somewhere in this thread, but given 252 pages, I am not in mood in finding it. As for the line, it looks ok-ish... $(dirname "$0") - return directory of the file given as 1st argument; "$@" - all arguments. Truth to be told, I don't know what it does not like, looks like the code was improperly executed, and the strings/argument did not translated, or the contents of wrapper are modified/tampered with. Anyway, my mac is back from repair, looks like working. It will take me a little time to set everything where I was and take a look by myself what the current issues are. |

Hi!
(Yosemite | Mac 2012 version) Is there any way to fix the FPS drops in-game? Particularly, is tinkering with the Wineskin "screen options" function have any effect on the in-game performance of PoE? Example, I right-click PoE shortcut, show package contents, open Wineskin, click "Go to Screen Option", and click override to tone down the Resolution (down to 1024x640) and Color Depth (down to 8-bit from 64-bit). Has anyone in the thread been able to suggest how to make the game perform more smoothly despite being a Wine port (I'm DYING to know because I really appreciate your effort Julus in creating this port)? I don't mind the long loading times between areas and area transistions. I just find it very annoying that whenever there are tons of mobs, my game crashes probably due to extreme FPS drop. Or, whenever my party has 3 or more members, the fps becomes problematic to the point that I miss quests (such as missing killing Dominus because I crashed in-game). PLEASE HELP! Thank you. |

" I'm also getting the same error, I hear the main menu after a long wait and then it crashes with this error, I'm running a MB from late 2014 |

My copy still refuses to load, despite me restarting my computer. It's really frustrating because it worked like a charm until I accidentally deleted one of the files (spring cleaning gone awry) and had to download another copy. I've restarted my computer multiple times, downloaded multiple clean copies, and tried manually deleting the .tmp file. If I hadn't had this working before with no problems whatsoever, I would have given up. Are there any other things I can try? Activity monitor shows it using around 0.5% cpu for about a minute and then going away. Nothing ever bounces on the dash or any of that. Any solutions other than those in the OP would be appreciated.
Thank you!
