" I might do that, it all depends on what auras you will use and how is your gear. I rather use 2 andvarius and a 850+ ES Chest with good resists cause i can afford it. Thats why i need more resists and still be at high ES. Anyways im not there but yet so il see what to do. Good point anyways |

" I believe what Rathik2 was talking about was in context of this thread's pre-1.0 build, which was using CI, rather than including any summoner build (which could run extra auras from life, but that obviously comes with its own set of disadvantages). In this sense, the build has just gone from 3 auras to 2, as mentioned, rather than from say 6 to 2. Multistrike is pretty darn strong - I would say it is mandatory for higher levels. There are some new skills that came out though, so maybe something there can replace it. -- " I am at zombie gem level 18 and having no issues (although I am not doing maps). Discipline aura makes a fair difference alongside purity, so that might be a reason. I do also use temporal chains a lot, which helps significantly, as Rathik2 recommends. I expect maps to be an issue until I get a lvl 20 zombie gem (and 20% quality), but thats fair enough in my opinion. -- @Rathik2 - I am using a slightly modified version of the build. I currently have 81 points which has just been enough to fill out what I consider the core. It looks like this: http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgMAAP0BbwdjEVARlhSwFVAV1xpsHNwnqSj6Kpgsvy9vNAo5UjowO-E8jkjnTm1WY1crV8lYB1qRXypqrGvbbRlwu3NTdFV8zn0Yfll_xoLHhEiFYIauiECPRpAzkyeboZ2uoqOmrKcIpyuofarErJi0DLiTu9a8N7-XwcXB88NtyT3MvNDQ0_vXhtkL2RPa3eL35oHquuvk6-7sGOyK8h731_qA Some analysis of the bottom chain of +6% energy shield links; the top route costs 3 points (extra, after what you would already get), and the bottom route uses 7 points - a loss of 4 points. However, for those extra 4 points I gain +36% energy shield, which works out at 9% energy shield per point. I should probably include the loss of the 20 intellect in there as well, but this will likely be negligible. The shadow nodes (Nullification, etc) takes 7 points to get +32% energy shield, +8% to all resistances, +10% shield cooldown recovery, and the +% evasion rating. This works out at about +4.6% energy shield per point - nearly half the efficiency. The resistances may or may not come in use, while the shield cooldown recovery is pretty small, especially considering for 7 points. The +% evasion rating is useful only if using evasion rating gear, which is not optimal considering the pure +% energy shield links used elsewhere in the build. The templar nodes (Body and Soul, etc) takes 9 points to get +46% energy shield, +8% to all resistances, and the +% armour rating. This works out at about +5.1% energy shield per point. The same things about the resistances and armour can be said for what was said respectively for the shadow nodes. This means, at least in my opinion, if you are only going to take one of those 3 sets the bottom chain is preferable. There is a set of aura effect nodes (and reduced mana reserved) just above the Body and Soul set. I have not looked strongly at whether these might be worth taking. If they are taken, then the Body and Soul set becomes more desirable; it would only take 7 points for the same benefits instead of 9, which works out at a +6.6% energy shield per point. However, in terms of efficiency, this still feels took weak to take over the bottom chain. I think I might take those aura nodes, as I am not sure where else I want to go from where I am now. After that it seems like it would then be a good idea to take the Body and Soul as well. Note on the minion life and +1 spectre at the top, I have currently missed these out because they are not feeling useful to me - I might put them back in though for maps. As long as your ES is enough to survive you can take any ES nodes as you please.
It doesn't effect the build. Also 20 INT = 4% ES + 20 mana IGN Riokar | My guides

" True. What are your thoughts on the aura nodes just above Body and Soul on the Templar side? I was also thinking about the Deep Thoughts node circle. To reach Deep Thoughts you have to use 5 points. You get +44% mana, +20% mana regen, + 20 int. If you go down the Shaper, 3x Mana, Mana Regen nodes (near the new class, under Gravepact) this is 5 points too (the build already is right next to it). You get +24% mana, +80% mana regen, and a useless (for CI) +1% life regen. So it basically comes down to +20% mana and 20 int vs. +60% mana regen. I think either would work to be honest as mana is hardly an issue in this build - you only need enough to cast your highest cost spell (like raise zombies) and can just use a mana flask if you need to you it multiple times. Arc with just culling + IIQ + IIR is only something like 40 mana per second and doesn't really need to be cast much at all. Still, the options are there if people feel they need more mana/mana regen than the other. Last edited by Aimeryan#0430 on Oct 24, 2013, 3:20:33 PM

I tried the aura nodes in templar side. I couldn't run haste, discipline, purity with them but you can use clarity + discipline + 60% aura + reduce mana.
Actually I could use the auras but I only had like 70 mana left. The mana regen will be huge. With that said, mana regen is not an issue with this build. Specially when you are using distillate flask. You the flask to last its full duration and the mana regen will make it harder to do that. You should have enough mana to cast 2 curses and skeleton totem. If you have that mana pool after auras then you don't really need more mana. In general, the less mana nodes you take the more ES nodes you can get. IGN Riokar | My guides [2.0]Non legacy Mjölner. I have tried many witch guides. This one still is one of the best if not the best.
I haven't had a chance to play since 1.0 came out and hopped on my 85 witch tonight. I didn't want to reset the tree since it was still all intact and in case in the future things change before I get my next point (only 3 bars into 85) I wanted to save my reset. Being 85 of course helps. Having a 20/20 raise zombies gem really helps. I cleared all the new areas and did all the new quests. I then did a 66 and 67 map. Though I cannot run three auras anymore, I did not see a difference except perhaps in my own cast speed (I opted to get rid of haste instead of purity or discipline). Though the exploding spike monsters were a pain sometimes - my zombies didn't die that often. I quite frequently re-summon them anyway when they are half dead just so that they are at high health if something goes wonky. I also used my spell totem with summon skeletons a lot since I was unfamiliar with the areas and creatures. I probably have average to above average gear (actually some of it is crap) and I'll post that in the spoiler below if people want to compare. But, all in all I did just fine, was never close to death with this great build Rathik has developed. Kudos to him. CURRENT GEAR:
