Maxric, great to find a fellow summoner that uses the burning miscreations.

Good point to use concentrated effect in combination with increased area of effect. If i ever get a 6 slot this would be a strong contender for the 6th slot.
I also like the idea of freezing the mobs a lot. I considered this but lacked slots and decided to go with decoy totem.

Question: How easy is it to actually freeze mobs? I was worried my low damage would make freezing not viable.

The more life the specters have, the more damage they deal. I think that minion life nodes are usefull in this case.

Fire penetration does not increase their damage. I ran some test by running hillock with different gem setup while timing the killspeed.

The life nodes unfortunately don't increase their damage. I mainly take them to ensure my spectres don't die :)

I use them too, i use burning damage, concentrate, increase aura, life/item rarity, and culling. Im not sure if culling works tho. The 2 curses i use are Vulnerability and ele weakness. Im initating with curses and cold snap + ele pro.

Trying to get a spot for flicker, so the spectres are following me faster. risk tho.

I don't even know what those Burning Miscreation do, but Flame Sentinels are crazy good for me, i use 'em all the time.

Probably the question everyone is asking when reading this guide.

My personal reasons are:

1. Far more deadly
2. Better in small quarter combat
3. More challenging to play

One that is probably very important if you wanna reach the top: more party friendy ;)

Does Lifeleech works with their righteous fire aura? A massive self healing should be great for them.

These just walk into mob packs and instantly kill everything in their radius. Sometimes I kill Kole and Spinebreaker without even noticing because they die in a matter of seconds. Definitely the most reliable and high dps spectre in the game ATM.

Oh I use flammabilty + ele weakness and I cold snap for elemental equilibrium.

I'm curious, does item rarity/item quantity gems work now?

There used to be a big with the rarity and item quantity GEMS on righteous and unrighteous fire, it would not add anything.

Really cool to hear that more people are playing a similar build. Great that i can debunk some myth's and explain the functioning of support gems.

I've been using iiq and iir gems in my build and I personally don't think they're working. Hard to tell though, I have ~400 iir already.

Another side note; these are melee oriented mobs, which means it's very rare for them to get stuck in small dungeons like my flame sentinels did.. alllll the time.

problem is the only way to keep a spectre alive in maps is lifeleech and they dont benefit from that at all

i think ranged spectres with lifeleech are much more reliable, even tho theyr aoe damage is lower

The survivability of your minions depends on your play style. The way I play is by running back and forth through mobs like a madman this allows my minions to keep moving so they take less damage. You don't need your minions to attack the enemy when they literally burn them to the ground just by running back and forth through them. I also use Necromantic aegis btw to increase their survivability.

Unfortunately it does not. This would instanely make this the most overpowered build in PoE right now ;).
