I just realised the mana flask has absolutely no downside. That's pretty crazy considering there's no such thing as a "good rare" when comparing flasks.

Not having some really usefull mods i probably one "downside" - e.g. remove bleed/frozen/burn/shock/curse or Fills on crit.
Or at least it is something what a normal mana flask has and you might want to consider to use it instead.

What about firetraps? They can place two active burns on the opponent. So if an enemy is frozen, and on fire from a fire trap, while also ignited by normal conditions, is that 30%, or 20%?

Fire traps aren't a burn.

They deal fire damage (which ignite on crit) and burn for fire damage in an area (which is Fire DoT not a burn).

And yet burning damage nodes on the tree add to it's damage. In addition, Post #6 from the staff claims they are identical in function. So wouldn't that imply it increases the damage opponents take from this ring?
they aren't BURN, the ydeal burn DAMAGE

Technicality is technical.

It's a really stupid technicality then :P

I've read several times that "Lacking a mod" isn't considered a downside. I think it's downside though

Well, it definitely does a plain better job than any mana flask you might use simply to regain mana rather than having an extra effect. Its got the equivalent of a 5x stronger Inspiring and a halved Caustic/Saturated without the downsides of either, plus a hugely strong unique mod to boot.

I'm not against it, it just opens a lot of doors on what we can expect of future flasks if you can have stuff that's simply crazy strong and doesn't need to be "fair" when compared to magic flasks.

I think it would be neat if they opened up the door to Rare flasks.

God no.

As far as unique flasks, should probably be unique equipped. Just saying.

With careful choice in mana flasks and some basic math you can already basically achieve "skills cost no mana for flask duration".

This new flask just seems to take the thinking out of it. Also you can use it 3 times. Or forever if you are using something like Warlords Mark.
