I'm sick of this, i have 500 armor and 1200 EV chest. 75+ all resits but chaos. And I can't complete damn ship graveyard. I keep exploding either from charges by murk runners or flickering strike hell. Screw this shit.

" The DPS in the tooltip doesn't reflect the possible damage from hitting both arrows. Only from one arrow. You can more or less double it against groups. It's accurate for single target though, sorta. If you manage to hit both shots on a single target then it's double DPS. I feel your pain, I've been using AR+EV for most of the game. The only ES equipment I have are helm and gloves, bringing me to a grand total of ~100 ES and 1100 HP. If you're having problems surviving, you probably have to analyze your tactics and make changes depending on your situation. If you find yourself not being able to get an attack in, think about Spell Totem + Skeletons, Temporal Chains, or using a Ranged Totem to give you passive DPS. Although Tyr does pick up quite a few HP nodes, we're still a little squishy. So we need a bit of a clever playstyle to survive. " I'm using Ice Shot + Chain + WED + Culling Strike for AoE and Burning Arrow + Faster Attacks + Faster Projectiles + Life Leech for single targets. IIRC, Tyr is using Ice Shot + Chain + Ranged Totem and Lightning Arrow for everything. " ^This. Flicker Strike is hell. So are Leaping mobs. If you can't solo an area, make a party. That's what I did. I'm sure as hell not running in the Ship Graveyard alone to get insta-gimped. Fuck. That. As a side note, I'm more than willing to stream my build for anyone who wants to watch. I took a bit of a different approach then Tyr, stacking all the Elemental Damage I can and altering his passives a bit. I'm a strict farmer so it's not exactly exciting to watch. I'm "Mjytresz" in game. EDIT: Also, these are the equips I'm running. I'm missing Chitus and Wakes, still. Also still working on 5-linking my armor and bow.

How the hell are you guys achieving such high dps values? I'm level 49 and my LA only does 250 dps. And only when it's not weakened by LMP
What am I doing wrong? My gear:

" You're missing elemental damage on your gloves, belt, rings, and amulet. That's the only thing I can think of. The passives in the templar area actually add a lot to your DPS. Also, consider running Anger for the damage boost if you can support it. I'm curious as to how your mana's doing with Clarity leveled so high. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/854/icedps.png/ If you're reading this, I'm probably on another year-long ban.

Yeah. my Clarity is a little bit overleveled but I still can sustain prolonged casting if there are big groups of enemies (thanks Soul Siphon). What level is it recommended to be kept at? I don't have exalts and gcps to buy high ele dmg AND resists rings/ammy/belts/gloves so I've chosen survivability. Should I just switch to ele dmg instead? " I hear people saying it's good to keep it at Lvl 3 but I've never bothered to test it on my own. The first Clarity I got was at lvl 12 and reserved almost all the mana on my witch. I didn't pick up any mana passives so it's entirely my fault. QQ As far as equips go, you should pick whatever you need. Personally, I just farm all day. There's not much in Fellshrine/Docks that'll take me from full to 0 in less than a second so I focused exclusively on elemental damage. The only reason those items have resists is because no other item came close to the damage it gave. I was able to afford all of that from just farming. The few quality gems I find and sell contribute substantially to my funds. Aside from that, I just vendor a lot of equipment and trade things up for jewelers/fusings and stockpile all the orbs I get. If you need survivability, however, pick up resist rings and equips with ES/Life mods on them. If you aren't having any luck with those or don't have the funds for it, find a nice area that you can farm without risk of dying and steadily work on your character. I haven't even finished the first quest in Act 3 on Merciless yet. I don't plan to until I have Chitus or Wakes. If you're reading this, I'm probably on another year-long ban.

" My Shadow is 59 right now and I can't really complain about survivability, though a rejunev totem is a must. In fact the only thing that kills me frequently are the Golems that roll over you... in theory, in pratice their rolling animation is broken (at about 100ms latency) and there's no way to dodge them because you can't see them coming in most cases. Flickering crap can be done solo if you place your rejunev totem far in front of you and spam AoE as they approach it. This better works once your Totem gets more tanky in later levels (and obviously you need solid AoE damage). Granite Flask is also helpful for the ohshit moments. There are also encounters that are pain in the ass for any kiting class (eg. bandits in act 2) and those are better done in group. @Vanzi, 75 Shadow
@Arrathan, 78 Ranger |

" This is bullshit because this doesn't helps at all. And yes, my shadow is 59 at act 1. My Rejuv totem can be killed by single, SINGLE!, flickershit guy in 2 autoattacks. Granite Flask doesn't do shit either because either u dead by thousands flickers in 1 sec or u can do without it. Solid AoE damage after all is just mediocre like any marauder could have spamming ground slam. Last edited by MorningLemon#3271 on Feb 6, 2013, 10:16:34 AM

Question about DH: Mine dropped yesterday with item-level 37. Now I read here of DH with an item-level of 50+
Do uniques come in different levels or are you talking about the level adjusted by the gems? |
