Tyr's **0.11.1** Pure Elemental Bow Spec

You should be able to notice the Aura.. it's the only one with purple lines/spikes. When I run accross that I just killed the elite mob with burning arrow while popping health pots, then I own the pack once the aura is gone.

Currently level 59 doing 3k BA dps and 1k LA dps.. still quishy with 1.3k HP but I got myself a Spell Totem with Summon Skeletons to act as decoy.. so far so good doing waterfall runs in act2

^ works for Elemental Reflect, ranged attack totem is also pretty awesome. Once you have one shot yourself a couple of times you will start to look for it.

An iLvl 47 bow can have 5 slots. My bow is only iLvl 43 and I managed to get 5-slots on it after about 50 jewelers. It takes an iLvl 50+ to get 6-slots.

Expect to use a ton of JC Orbs to obtain the 5 slot. I tried last night with mine and went through over 30 and still no 5 sockets.

anyone got the chin sol unique? would it be worth buying one?

Hello fellow mates. I found this build after reaching lvl 61 with hp/eldritch battery critical dagger shadow shadow (by Invalesco - http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/70118). Unfortunately I struggled with the last build having lots of difficulties in soloing Cruel content. Just a couple of questions:

1) Could you please tell me it this spec is suitable for efficient solo farming of top level Cruel areas as well as map areas?

2) Is top notch gear absolutely essential for this build to work nicely?

3) Is solo leveling problematic in this build?

4) From what I understood in this thread survivability is an issue in this build. Is it correct?

5) What DPS in endgame can I expect from this build - both single target and AOE?

6) Most importantly could you please write in detail suggested endgame gear including all required gems?

I started a crit dagger thread at the same time invalesco started his back in May. He used flicker & I used shield charge...etc...nevermind lol. The point is this thread/build/approach has its roots from using Lightning Strike as a crit dagger shadow. Melee is a pain in the ass at times. Ranged is more flexible & offers more control over situations.

1. Yes. Check out the early vids of my shadow in beta to see what how this build wrecks endgame maps. Links are on page 1 & my sig.

2. DH & Chain is. Then Wake of Destruction to set your dps the fk off. The rest you craft yourself.

3. No.

4. Yes. Much of survivability lays in the users hands. Move, dont get hit, dont let mobs get close, watch for reflect auras and dont stand in the fire. You actually have to be good at PoE to thrive in endgame. This is especially true with this build. At times I have felt the dps is like trying to harness a ferrari dropped into first gear at 4000 rpm.

I honestly don't find this to be true. I have DH and Chain.. I prefer using my Thicket Bow + LMP + LA + Pierce. Never had a problem with DPS, check a few posts above for my numbers.

I just want to take a moment to acknowledge the people who have been contributing and lurking for info in this thread. Twelve 1 2 days ago this was at a respectable 14k views and 11 pages. Since August.

In less than two weeks the page count has tripled and it is averaging over thirty thousand a week! WTFLOL. Hopefully we can continue down this path via crowdsourced feedback, tips and experiences. This build has grown in strength from the feedback given over the months. Hell one guy was sleep deprived & was thinking crazy build thoughts that made me think of something else that resulted in a major change which eventually resulted in a few thousand dps more.
