What kinda skill gems does this build require pre level 30?

Hey do AoE increasing passive affect LA?

Granted, im only level 24 right now, but Im really liking this build so far.

Right now, im getting much more DPS off of poison arrow with fork and letting the Chaos DOT just wreck stuff.

But the closer I get to soul siphon, I read that the Poison dot doesn't proc the siphon?


Also, what Armor types should I be aiming for? Evasion? Armor or ES?

I can't seem to find what the best type of defense would be for this build.

Poison Arrow also do not benefit from increase rarity/quantity and leech life/mana bonuses.

So, I'm lvl58 doing 700 dps w/ LA+LMP+faster attacks+weapon elemental damage. I'm running all 3 elemental damage auras. I can't progress, my damage is too low to solo anything. I can't buy Death's harp, it's too expensive, let alone chain+death's harp. What should I do now?

I'm a little confused. How do the purposes of Ice Shot and Lightning Arrow differ? When would I want to use one instead of the other?

Why is death's harp so good for this build? It has no ele damage, is all physical, and isn't even a high level bow. I saw Tyr say he's getting 1800 dps from burning arrow... how? Your gear has only moderate damage additions on it... is it from the auras + reduced manas? Does death's harp really add that much dps from the second arrow? How does everyone in this thread have one when it's a unique? This build looks fun but I'm just not understanding how you're gettind 1800 dps on single attack with your gear and your passives...

Yep this build is pretty rough to get the right items for. Saw Death's Harp for sale once and the guy only wanted 2 Chaos but I was too low of level and newbie and passed it up. Seems like it's near impossible to find now, but I'll keep looking.

Question that's slightly off topic - would anyone be able to give a quick suggestion for a type of build that would work great as a duo with this one? Duoing with my brother and he's trying to compliment my Shadow.

Depends on how you're going about it. For the longest time ever, I was feeling really squishy too and it was almost goddamn impossible to solo Act 3 on Cruel with all the chaos damage floating around. Rejuv Totem is your friend, if you can tank it with the aura or have the enemy attack the totem instead of you. You have to be clever about it.
You could always party up or just farm. After finishing Cruel, I only quested to get access to the next act after I out-leveled all the farming areas in the current act.

It's the combination of the attack, chain, and the extra projectile. Let's say you have Chain linked to Ice Shot and you're using a normal bow. You're hitting 3 enemies with Ice Shot, excluding the AoE cone behind each enemy. Let's say you're hitting 1k DPS with that. That's actually pretty great.
Now let's say you're using Death's Harp with Ice Shot linked to Chain. You're effectively hitting 6 enemies and, with the AoE passives included, doing a shitton more AoE damage. The damage from higher level bows is pretty amazing but, IMO, it doesn't compare to the nearly doubled DPS of shooting 2 arrows instead of one.

Also, granted I'm not Tyr, I'm hitting 1.4k DPS on my Burning Arrow. Although that's without Chain. On my Ice Shot, I'm just shy of 1k DPS.
