Cause shadow has arcing blows and a 12% attack speed passive, and overall a better start with bows cause of some dex. Then you can just go into the templar area.

Well, Ranger has even better starting Bow dex / passives doesn't it? Why not start Ranger and go to Templar? Is Arcing Blows really that great?

For LA, arcing blows is really good. Shadow is closer to the witch and templar area than ranger, way closer actually, so you can get some nice nodes around the witch, with ranger, you'd probably have to go straight to templar. Also, they have nullification, I dunno why it's not picked up in this build. Rangers are good for builds with blood magic mainly, for ele builds that want to go to witch, you might as well pick up shadow and get a better midgame.

What's wrong with those bandit's? I have helped one of the camps. Do i have to re-roll?

because you need all the skillpoints you can get. Killing them all rewards you a free skillpoint.
I just realized something. Might Wake of Destruction be out of the game? I see NO WTS In the trading forum and have seen 0 advertisements in game...

Ive also been offering up to 4-5 GCP which was what the going rate was in CB...

Nah Wake is still in the game.

Plus, Nullification is quite good. Sorry for absentmindedly not including it initially.

I don't take the initial Shadow elemental passives cause they suck compared to the Templar ones. 8% for every element as opposed to 6% for only one is a no brainer. The Burn/Shock/Freeze passives are excellent. Take them early if you are struggling.

You can be flexible with this build. Just remember that if you stray too far from the path there might be an issue getting the important templar passives.

Arcing Blows is major dps boost. The more + lightning you have from gear the more return you will see. Arcing Blows is important.

Ranger can do some badass builds. I havent concentrated on Ranger functionality cause this is an elemental build. Im not worried about physical passives at all. I cannot get both Amplify & Blast Radius & do everything else with my passives with a Ranger.

Are there specific gems that I need to be getting in my lower levels. I'm having trouble understanding what attacks and stuff are the best for this build.
Hi Tyr, I'm really enjoying your build so far on my first PoE character. How would you make use of Chain? I have the support gem and tried it on a few different attacks but so far it seems that nothing comes close to comparing to the mass mob clearing potential of Lightning Arrow + Fork + Lesser Multiple Projectiles. Also, if I attach Chain to Burning Arrow, I feel like I lose out on my single target damage potential. Any tips?
Glad you are enjoying the build Jorge :)

Ice Shot + Chain + Deaths Harp = http://www.twitch.tv/tyranthal/c/1851525

I do not not like diluting dmg with lesser multi & fork. Chain is so good because when you raise the quality the projectile speed increases. This vid from the end of closed beta shows maxed chain with ice shot & increased projectile speed from a quiver (29%) & projectile weakness in action.

Try Fork with burning arrow. Or Pierce with burning arrow. Use Projectile Weakness curse as well. I liked Lightning Arrow for single target dps in CB. Got it up to 7.6k x2 lol. LA has changed tho. Burning Arrow is what im using right now as I level for single target dmg.

Let me start off by saying I absolutely love this build, my last character in CB used this and I liked it so much, I made a another in OB! I haven't really had access to chain or the uniques, like most people, so I've been using Ice shot+LMP+Pierce+wep ele, tied in with projectile weakness for super piercing arrows. This has created quite the mana issue for me (~36 mana per shot), and as a result I have picked up the Witch's mana regen nodes, and a couple on the side as well. I plan on dropping the regen nodes eventually, but in the meantime this seems to be a pretty great solution if you are having mana issues like me (if spending 10 passive refund points later is cool with you).

That is what my build looks like at level 49, I have around 55 mp5 and am running clarity + wrath... any more auras is too much reserved mana it seems.
I think u r forcing urself too much on aoe, well i am too but as i saw here

http://it.twitch.tv/tyranthal/b/361431872

we are lacking a bit in single target damage (last statue boss). You are forced to cast iceshot with multproj ecc... how much mana is for an iceshot cast? a bit too much for one target isnt it?

Anyway i still love too much poison arrow for the insane amount of chaos damage..

@jcnewc

Im looking for some more mana and manaregen too but if you are able to play correctly with 2/3 mana flasks you can easily avoid that path...

Btw is Arcing Blows for lightning arrow?

Oh haha my current chr is very much a work in progress. I don't have much because im saving everything to get a few more key items. Burning arrow & ice shot are in the same 3 link sharing WED. Its a far cry from the late CB vids where I had 10 months of farming resources at my disposal :P

Guys, the thing with arcing blows is that its not just for Lightning Arrow. Its for ALL lightning dmg on your gear. This affects alllll your skills the most cause you (should be) stacking as much +lightning dmg onto your gear as possible. Look at your tooltip for your skills. Each element is listed & Lightning dmg should be significantly higher than all the others.
