[0.11.2] Lightning Arrow Duelist - 1.0.0 updated!
" No, it's not impossible - lots of LA's use those exact same three uniques with cap resists - just make sure and pick up all the diamond skin nodes you can. Life, resists, and Elemental weapon damage for amulet/rings. Mess with the best, die like the rest. Last edited by Edzilla on Aug 11, 2013, 5:43:07 AM

hi, i'm a pretty new player that has been so far, been following your blood magic keystone build, but I don't really know differences between the builds and the advantages/disadvantages of each build, namely the bm keystone and ci crit build. The only thing I could really gather was that they rely on different resources to sustain, but I don't really understand statistical differences. So which of your builds would you say provides the most damage, durability, and so on? I'm having a pretty tough time deciphering the merits of each build.
my name was a part of a bet, try not to think too much of it please e.e

" The blood magic keystone build is the most common and easiest to pull off (gear, and experience wise, if you area beginner) but each has it own different play styles and advantages/disadvantages. Blood magic keystone is probably the strongest in the early-mid game. Due to its flexibility in gear selection and not requiring much to get started or even to do maps. The blood magic gem build is pretty much the end-game version of the BM keystone build. Once you have capped all your gear and reached level 90+, you will benefit from running DPS % auras over just using your 6th linked gem as faster attacks. It's basically trading faster attacks for Hatred, Haste, and Determination, which is not only a boost in DPS, but also survivability. The CI build is for more advanced users of LA. It not only is difficult to start up but also to maintain due to it running off mana instead of life for skills. It has a different playstyle, where it relies on hitting harder but slower to manage mana better but shock stacks at the same rate, due to it having chance to crit which will apply shocks as well (normally, the BM builds rely on attacking really fast and only have a 20% chance to shock.) So, my suggestion if you are a new player - going with the BM keystone build. If you are feeling like a little adventure, go with the CI route, just be prepared to farm docks/catacombs into your mid to late 70's for gear/drops. Which build is the best, over all in survivability, DPS, and end-game roles? - I would have to vote CI. It's EHP can't be matched by life based builds and since you can life leech at an instant rate, combined with having a large passive life leech using blood rage, it survives really well and can do some serious damage with the right gear and level. Mess with the best, die like the rest.

" Ah thanks, that gives me a much better idea of what to expect from each build. If i may ask, is there a distinct advantage in each build in softcore, or is it mostly the same, because I noticed you had 2 other bm builds with a scrubcore tag, but not one for ci. my name was a part of a bet, try not to think too much of it please e.e

Bump for awesome build.

With the big changes to auras, BM LA seems to be pulling ahead of the other builds, since it uses keystone and was unaffected by the "nerf."

How about the new Lightning DMG---->Chaos DMG bow??
Have we begun to think of any builds that would be viable with it? Very interested in starting this up. Infact selling gear to get my hands on one of those bows. Discuss!!! :) IGN: ReflectDeezNutz

Even though that Lightning Arrow converts physical to lightning, It will still be a bow to rival Lioneye's - mainly for the extra 10% shock chance and being immuned to reflect.
Mess with the best, die like the rest.
