Maybe you should read up on the armor formula. The "reduction cap"? Do you know how armor works? The thing you see in the character sheet is an estimated reduction against an average monster - it means nothing when you face stronger monsters.

You can use whatever tree you want I don't really understand why you keep spamming your tree all over this thread? I don't care what you use or how you choose to play. Someone asked me what I thought about it and I gave my answer. You're very welcome to create your own thread with your ideas and your build.

The tree you have selected is impossible to get for me on onslaught, because there are no items to buy with that amount of attribute points. With the amount of armor that I have further endurance charges are useless. Also not going for Inner force when it is 5 Points away is a huge fail.

For 5 Points you get

4.5% more dmg
2.7% more AS
1.08% more MS
242 Armor
9.18% more Armor
5% all resistances
+20 INT

540 armor and 18% increased armor from Granite flasks
6.3% more Chaos resistance from Amethyst flasks
~15% more MS with Quicksilver flasks
1% Max resistances from any resistance flask.

Basically you will take 33% more damage from elemental damage without the 1% max resistances from flasks, so even that single argument is pretty significant. Since you use flasks constantly every build that's even remotely close to IF takes it. So my opinion is that it's a really bad decision not to take it. If you want someone elses opinion I suggest you post your build in their thread instead.

1. Posting my tree once is spamming. You're correct.

2. I was wrong about the cap, it does only apply on the average mob, however seeing as reaching 90% damage reduction with endurance charges, while granite flasking, you should be able to mitigate similar damage to that which is mitigated by your 50k armor. So really that part of the discussion is irrelevant. Essentially what it boils down to is a choice between 4% resistance per charge allowing you to overcap resistance for elemental weakness maps, or increased movement speed on flask, 1% max resistance on flask and 6.3% extra chaos resistance on flask.

3. Facebreaker builds are incredibly gear specific due to their heavy reliance on jewelry and boots to provide the majority of resistance. If you opt to run lioneye's remorse, you require an average of 21 to all elemental resistance on both rings, amulet and boots. Along with Life and Physical Damage, the pool of rings to chose from only gets smaller. I think its fair to say that maxing out on res without purity is crucial in running elemental weakness maps. So to say that getting stats is so difficult when increasing the number of gear to provide resistance makes no sense.

4. I'm not telling you to switch to this build. First of all, I approached the discussion by seeing your reasoning behind choosing Inner Force over Endurance Charges, and it took you too many posts to get to the meat of the reasoning. Not everyone blindly follows the flavor of the month.

p.s. comparing a lvl 83 build to a lvl 89 build is genius. (on the topic of shield nodes)

note : I also asked whether inner force increases the cap of flasks by 1% or not, at least you responded now :)

You lose 500 armor, 40 Life, 10% block 7% spell block (15% spell block with the shield), and gain 3 nodes for using that shield and skipping the shield resistance nodes instead. Does that sound good? If those three nodes were anywhere near my tree I'd go for them.

You had 26000 armor with granite? and what 2 charges more? For the last 6 levels I have only chosen more Life and chaos res, so yeah I think we can compare our stats. Since I had similar armor and block at level 83.

xNovoxx gets slammed by Maze Vaal for 5000 physical damage
Damage reduced by 30% from armor
Damage reduced by 20% from 5 endurance charges (which you constantly have to recast and maintain).

Damage taken=2488

Nastakanoth gets slammed by Maze Vaal for 5000 physical damage
Damage reduced by 48% from armor
Damage reduced by 12% from 3 endurance charges (which is alot easier to maintain).

Damage taken=1986

The lesser damage you use, the more advantage my armor will have. Now that's the last time I will waste on you.

"I can't tell if you're being ignorant on purpose or simply stubborn."
"I don't think you understand how endurance charges work at all if you keep bragging about armor"
"You need to learn how to contribute to discussing builds without trashing alternate options."
"I think its fair to say that maxing out on res without purity is crucial in running elemental weakness maps. So to say that getting stats is so difficult when increasing the number of gear to provide resistance makes no sense."

Your attitude isn't really helping your case.

I didn't create this thread because I wanted to discuss this build with you, I wanted to share it with other people. Now go and play whatever other build you want - I don't care what you think is better or not. Given the gear I have the current path that I have taken is the optimal path, there is nothing to discuss. The endurance charges isn't even helpful against Vaal, not to mention all lesser monsters - so why would I bother trying to keep them up when I can simply just kill everything without casting the skill?

Hey thanks for posting this thread. I recently came across your youtube video and I love the build! I'm an SC player and don't have much time to play during the day; so far I've just reached the ledge in cruel but having a blast so far! So thanks again for posting it and here's a free bump in the hope you get more recognition :)
If you can't stand people questioning your build then you need to grow up. Maturity would've helped you cause :) If you want to have an actual mature discussion, you can message me freely, you clearly are overly protective in this thread.

Thanks for the information, I'll do as I please

I got a question about leveling. So I'm specced into the BM keystone right now (lvl 33) and I want to know what's a good level to spec out of it so I can start using cyclone w/ blood magic gem, life leech, conc effect. Thanks.

I have started using cyclone around level 50 just after getting into Merc, was using ele cleave to level.

here is my current gear and build, I am just running through mobs. Really loving this build, cant wait until I can equip the BOR that I just acquired.

Hi Nastakanoth, I just died in onslaught to a rare voidbringer (docks dogs) in a map. How do you fight those?

RIP mate. :-(

I apply enfeeble - put up decoy totem and try to kill them as fast as possible. They are usually squishy but very dangerous if they have multiple projectiles. If I face the level 73 map boss based on voidbearer, I usually switch to the spellblock shield, and if it has damage modifiers I use ruby flasks.

While leveling up in docks I highly suggest using ruby flasks whenever you face voidbearers.

hey Nasta mate,

what are your thoughts on this shield? I am using it for a long time now. The application of enfeeble is pretty reliable. I am leveling enfeeble as well but thinking about dropping it alltogether, since i never use it. Since i play anarchy, i don't need the extra security. It's almost instantly on any boss.

edit: don't know what's coming in maps 70+, so there might be instances where i need it.
