The Ultimate Melee DPS/TANK [FACEBREAKER ONSLAUGHT GUIDE]

Many props to this guide. This is the tankiest character I have ever had (maxed resists and 65% mitigation) and I'm only level 66. In one level I get my bringer of rain and my dps will go up 1k+!!! Currently at 6.5k dps with infernal blow, one punching mob packs with melee splash is hilarious.

Can't wait to map with cyclone and 4k+ health and physical immunity. Really, one of the best melee builds if not THE best for soloing content.

edit: Another way to execute this build is with abyssus, 6 link carcass jack (20 inc area and 12 area damage for cyclone is OP), and 4 extra endurance nodes (total of 7). you get the three buff duration nodes near resolute technique and get a quality increased duration+immortal call. you use warlord's mark (also quality, gives MUCH more end charges) and enduring cry to gain endurance charges, pop immortal call (it will be about 13-15 seconds long), and now you can ignore physical reflect and any dangerous physical mob.

You lose some maximum life and you HAVE to watch immortal call uptime. You can replace life leech with added fire if you want because warlord's mark life steal. But otherwise it gains about 4k+ dps and 20% radius increase on cyclone. It also costs like 15-20 more exalts to execute properly. You have to get quality melee phys and faster attacks as well as above mentioned gems plus carcass jack 6 linked. SO yeah, when I get there I'll do it and do 25k+ cyclone dps at about 20% inc radius even with conc effect. Now THATS formidable.

I've watched a guy doing that on youtube but it didn't look like fun at all. Quite a hassle to cast IC all the time and being concerned about endo charges + curse, instead of just plowing through everything. Doesn't feel like melee anymore.

You press one button every 12 seconds and the other as you come up on a pack. And then you faceroll after. Still sounds like melee to me. The trade off for watching your buffs is 5k+ dps and increased area on cyclone. Rather huge gains.

And you will also kill yourself on reflect maps... :-) You will also find yourself in situations where IC can't be maintained. And why even bother since the build costs 3-4 times more?

But yeah, anything is possible :p

I still use haste on the shield together with reduced mana and enduring cry. You will need (*)about 580 mana to have 17 mana left after the auras, which is just enough to run enduring cry with 20/20 reduced mana gem. Only downside is that you have to recast haste if you swap shields, but thats no big deal.

* don't know the exact number for the threshold from 16 to 17. At 583 mana i have 17 left.

droping haste costs me 600 dps, 15% attackspeed 7% movespeed which i am really attached to at the moment ;)

Or you could just remove the reserved mana nodes and inner force and pick nodes equivalent to that damage and more Life/armor? :p
Im lvl 62 and Ive wasted Piety yesterday (lvl 67) in 2 man party, other guy was a discharger so he was just standing there. I had no problems at all, so that was oficially fastest and easiest first Piety kill for me. Usually I would wait till the 70's

I'm not running one aura yet (but lvling them), Im waiting till I equip bor.

SO the build is great but it has a MAJOR downside, and its desinc. It desincs like CRAZY, most of the time I dont know where I am, sometimes /oos doesnt help, but refreshes after a few sec. Which can be a pain in the ass if it drags you to some chaos AOE monsters and you have no idea youre there. Othe minus for me is that theres absolutely no control over cyclone (or I didnt figure it out) as to how long youll actuall be spinning, no way of setting a direction, which can be a bugger when youre up against pack of mobs with imortallyty for creeps boss. those fights can prove to be lenghty :p

If there's a way around this, please let me know!

Other than that, its a fun build and I recommend it
this build is fine but eventually in high level maps you will die to desync, just died today at level 81 in a 75 map due to massive desync

i suggest playing another spec if you want seriously level up

That's funny considering I leveled up to 91 without ever being in a party, and still alive in ONS. Maybe you want a bit higher level for 75 maps?

dude i wouldn't waist a 75 map at lvl 81 either. I level'd this build to 86 in one week and didn't even touch a map lol. Talking about serious leveling...
