" No. Diablo II's last patch fixed PK to where it's no longer possible anymore. Did you also know respecing is now made possible, too? Yup. Sounds like it's been years since you touched Diablo II. When game developers ignore the criticism that would improve their game, the game fails. Just because a game receives a great amount of praise vs. only a small amount of criticism does not mean to call it a day and make a foolish misplaced assumption that it is perfect. Someone in another thread suggested a "limbo" or "purgatory" map(monster level based on your level) that you enter upon death in softcore where you fight the "grim reaper" or "death" to live again. Once he is killed, you gain back the experience you lost and are ported back to town(a graveyard/gravestone would be a cool addition to town).
