The Lightning Templar [Community Builds]

The fact remains, that single attack from lightning strike cannot hit but 1 projectile EVER.

It's game mechanic, or at least it was in closed beta (autumn).

No matter if you are next to an enemy, you will just deal initial damage + projectile on it.

If you add pierce, however - any pierced projectile will deal normal damage, but as long as you "roll pierce" per projectile, you can hit another.

Thinking about adding another aura (already running TS 16,Clarity 14, Wrath 14). Was thinking about Discipline up to lvl 12 (137 additional ES for 175 mana - pre reduction) or maybe Determination.... although the % reservation kinda freaks me out..

I don't see a reason to have a big unused mana pool if my mana regeneration supports all my skills for spamming...

Do go for the +1 aura. In fact, if your regen supports your spamming, have only as much unreserved mana as your most expensice spell costs. Kripparian, a popular streamer, used 7 auras on his power siphon templar, which reserved about 90%+ of his mana orb, for this very reason.

I run a pretty similar build (lvl 76) and this is insanely good with anything that uses block chance, energy shield and armour. Definitely worth using if you can get one.

Honestly don't think it's worth linking tempest shield with anything other than reduced mana since the base damage is so low you won't shock much for anywhere near long enough to make use of it. Only those fire breathing dogs and the rapid fire miscreations.

Molten shell works so well with tempest shield, not sure why you haven't used it. Blocked attacks still count towards the damage absorbed.

Yes, It works better with chain.

Tempest Shield lvl-12 - Reduced Mana lvl-11,Elem. Profil. lvl-12,
Wrath lvl-12 - Reduced Mana lvl-11,Blood Magic lvl-3
Clarity - Reduced Mana lvl-11 (tried out lvl-8,atm running lvl-3)

My Mana is down in like 10 Hits;i only got 1.5k Life and 1.9k Armour.
Block Chance of 50% due to Crest of Pendarus and my resistences are (72/80/66).

I sorta tried to get +Life on every Item..
Blood Magic is used so i have atleast some Mana left.
LS selfbuffed has 822 DPS,no idea if thats average.

Any information is greatly appreciated.Also Ingame Help would be nice,so i could show the items currently equipped,maybe that*s the problem i do have.

I have a question CNK, in the OP you state two different main skill gem set ups, one for the main skill (LS) then you list one for the projectiles, are you stating to build for either or or both? I am new and thus confused by what you are trying to imply there. Sorry if it seems a little noobish on my part.
