Petrov's Elemental Bow Ranger Build(s) (0.10)
Can someone please explain to me how 'Increased %Elemental Damage With Weapon' works?
I'm currently using a triple elemental bow but a 19% increase with the above stat will only net me 50+ dps gain when i hover on my LA tooltips. I found stacking flat elemental damage is more rewarding.. Is there some sort of hidden mechanic on this stat? It seems everyone would go crazy for it in trading forum. I'm asking because im trying to get rid of my quivers in stash. Below is what im using and i cant find the reason of using these which are rotting in my stash Last edited by mlvnk83#6685 on Feb 15, 2013, 7:16:27 PM

I really like this build and want to try it because I'm sick of having low damage, but, I HATE builds that only provide level 80 skill trees. I see that he gives a few hints, but I LOVE builds that are like (23 point tree), (43 point tree), (63 pt tree) etc

I guess it really depend on your gears, levels and content difficulty. Observe the nodes few level ahead of you, if you feel you are laxking damage, skip some of the hp nodes and rush for dmg oriented sphere. If you feel lacking survival, take more hp nodes. Worry about getting iron reflex, losing the ability to evade and worry abt stun? Skip it until u get unwavering stance and come back for iron reflex. Its all depending on your current situaion. There is no one size fit all guide.

im a lvl 67 ranger at the moment, looking to seek some comparison amongst fellow rangers. My stats are as follows:
-6000 armor (about 60% reduction iirc) -2500 hp -800dps LA with Chain attached i want to know what is the average damage on LA w/ chain for the other fellow rangers here? I'm not absolutely sure if my dps is on the right track or i should get more ele stacking. IGN:

I was following the iron grip and resolute technique build, but I'm thinking on changing it to grab the barbarian's starting passives.
To get it I would need to spend 13 more points and get: +15% all resists +37% max life +1.9% life per second +30 life -30% dmg from crits +50 strength To get those 13 points I would need to take the points from the 2 far right life% nodes, 6 points from the life% nodes in the centre, 1 point from armour% in the centre, 1 life% node near discipline and training and 3 life% nodes near elementalist, effectively losing: +10% armour +106% life +20 strength Which means the final tradeoff is: LOSE: +69% max life +10% armour GET: +15% all resists +1.9% life per second +30 life -30% dmg from crits +20 strength There's another smaller change that I think would benefit, which is: Lose 2 +8% life nodes on the far right and the +10% armour in the center Get 2 +10% armour and +30% armour near unwavering stance That means, 16% life for 40% armour Do you guys think it's worth it? " post a passive tree, im sure we can help. I think what you are proposing would be similar to nugi's build, but we'll see until you post a tree (cant visualize right now). IGN:

" 1.4 with chain? that's about right for me when im 63 without chain, however when i attached chain it went down to 800 as posted. Your hp is massive :) IGN:
