Its really hard to imagine so many people have just completely missed TQ. It is by far the best ARPG ever released, and we will have to see if PoE can live up to it. Sadly, most upcoming, and every single already-released game, fall far short, dead at its feet.

I bought Titan quest and the expansion and was pretty underwhelmed. I found it boring enough that I never finished it. Many of the skills were passive, and those that weren't usually had looong cooldowns, meaning I spent most of the time auto-attacking. Combat seemed slow and grindy. The entire game was pretty much one really long linear corrior, exploration was non-existent.
But most of all there is a bug that is unfixed to this day that causes horrendous stuttering every few seconds, making the game very irritating to play.

+replayability

Game world is not random, monsters are not random. Once you've played through once there's nothing left to see.

I agree it was great being able to mix and match classes.

I don't agree at all.

+visually beautiful (D2 looks like a pixelated 1980's game in comparison)

The graphics were quite nice. I liked the way entering a cave was seemless with no loading.

I thought it was terrible. There was 1000 times more loot dropping than nessecary, 99.9% of it worthless. Mods just randomly appeared on any old piece of equipment, like damage boni on helmets.

I'm glad you enjoyed it though. A lot of people speak highly of TQ.
Well tbh, if TQ is a linear corridor, D2 is a straight pipe with 1m diameter. Yeah it had optional places like the pit or cave but noone went there.
Maybe you didn't, that doesn't mean no-one did. I wasn't just talking about branching areas either. D2 had lots of huge wide open spaces to explore. TQ did not, you were always funnelled along a relatively narrow path.
I have a question.
Whats your favorite quest so far?
Can you tell us a little bit about the quest?
Repent! That's what i'm talking about!
We haven't heard a thing about the questing structure of the game. It's right up there with the passive skill tree as something that's hugely important to the game but about which we know nothing.

Yeah i wanna know about the pasive skill tree, of course if you can give me something interesting.

I think you may feel this way because, as you said, you didn't finish the game. I can assure you that what you said isn't correct... I've also never encountered that stuttering bug you mentioned (not saying it doesn't exist).

The only 2 problems I had with TQ.

1. Loot wasn't random so you had to farm different enemies for a .02% drop.

2. You had to wear a skirt.

If you have played D2 a lot you pretty much wont find TQ very fun. Very different games but close enough that lots of things piss you off because their not like d2. Like the slower combat and the none spastic all over the place item system.
