Invited to Alpha Test

You're review sounds just to good to be true! Now i'm a little bit jealous to be honest! But from what i read you really earned it to play in the alpha and i wish you lots and lots of ongoing fun! Hopefully we will hear some more about the alpha and you're experiences soon!

That's a tough one...

The first thing that impressed me about it when I discovered this site was the fact that it was designed from the ground up to be played online. For a lot of games in this genre, online play is kind of an afterthought and poorly designed online play fractures the community.

You're of course referring to my experience with the alpha and it's kind of hard to choose one thing as a lot of the systems tie into each other. I'll go with the fact that they chose the barter system over a gold based economy. It's a very punk rock thing to do at this point. The whole X amount of copper = x amount of silver = x amount of gold = Booooooorrrriiiinnnggg. I'm sure a lot of companies look at the D2 barter systems of Soj and High Runes and feel they are broken and frustrating, which they are...but they were still fun. Seems like GGG looked at the barter system of D2 and other games and thought how can we fix this? I'm happy they did and it will be interesting to see how it turns out.
