" Yeah it is. I've talked to a few people using it who are between lvl 50-75 and say it's doing fine so far. IGN: EmpathicAmoeba

This looks like a very nice build indeed. I am in noob in POE and looking to create a bow character like most games I play. I was just wondering; Would it be possible and maybe better to start off the Templar, since you get a bit more of elemental damage? I have no idea really, just a thought from a noob :P

I'm currently 49 in Nemesis and doing decently now that I finally got up to Static Blows and the other 10% to shock node. I'm running mana leech on split arrow for right now as I just don't do enough damage with a 4 link to run the blood magic gem with LGoH, but that should be changing soon. I took a few things earlier/out of sequence which has slowed me down a little bit, but this is a great guide.

" Nope, definitely not. If you start with templar, you'd be completely wasting your first passive point and it would also completely change the structure of the build. You'd have to sacrifice other passives in my build in order to take those 5% and 8% elemental damage passives. And if you want to take those passives, you can still take them as a ranger or duelist. There is no reason to go templar as you're forced to either take a mana regen node or a melee physical damage node for your first passive, both of which are completely useless. Also, templar doesn't have pants. Duelist and ranger really are the only choices for this build. IGN: EmpathicAmoeba

Nemesis after action report:
The good: I made it farther in Nemesis with this build than I have with any others. Level 66. Farmed up piles of decent stuff. Generated more wealth than I've ever had in any league. The bad: I died while fighting Vaal. I think at the end I was at about 3.5k hp and say 200 shield or so. Just the way it worked with the gear I needed for resists. Random thoughts: Frenzy - It never turned into a source of healing for me. I tried different iterations with it. The mana leech gem I had was a 9%er (best I could afford at the time) and about the best I could hope for was for the skill to break even on mana cost/damage leeched. I remember working this with the BM keystone and my single target attack being a great source of survivability but this time around it just wasn't quite the same. Now this may have something to do with only running wrath (and Purity..) but even experimenting in some lower level zones with wrath and anger I couldn't really turn the Frenzy into a source of healing the way I remember it working in the past. That 140% cost for the BM gem is a real pain. In sharp contrast, Split Arrow + Life Gain On Hit made it child's play to facetank big packs. I felt more vulnerable vs. a rare mob without it's pack than I did against the same rare mob with its pack. I'll probably give the build another go. When it works, it works well. I think I'll pay for a merciless Vaal kill next time though. |

" I hear ya man. It's disappointing that the devs turned the BM passive into something utterly useless. The problem here is that Frenzy costs twice as much life as it used to due to the Blood Magic gem's 200% life cost multiplier, as well as the fact that Frenzy is an extremely fast attack, especially if you're using a high quality Frenzy gem. With a 1.50 APS bow i think my Frenzy attacks something like 6 times per second? You need to have a lot of elemental damage as well as a high level Life Leech gem, preferably with 20% quality, for Frenzy to heal you. This was never a problem when we used the BM passive. My Frenzy actually does heal me very quickly as long as the map I'm in doesn't have a 50% regen mod. But that is partially due to the high amount of damage I have as well as the fact that I'm using an Added Lightning Damage gem. It's hard to shock rare mobs and bosses unless you have a LOT of lightning damage as well as more shock chance and shock duration than what Static Blows provides. No doubt a Thunderfist or Voltaxic Rift or a 20% ALD gem would go great lengths to solving this problem. IGN: EmpathicAmoeba

I'm doing Nemesis, currently level 59.
Can I get 3 auras if I got 4+4+8 % reduced, level 16-17 reduced mana gem??? My 1-target with frenzy DPS sucks atm, feels like I need 5-6 links to make it good. Here's my gear atm:

" level 16 reduced mana 75% X (100%-(4%+4%+8%)) = 63% 3x 60% auras = 180 x 63% = 113.4% mana reserved. So no. 2x 60% + 1x 40% = 160 x 63% = 100.8% mana reserved. Also no. level 17 reduced mana 74% X (100%-(4%+4%+8%)) = 62.16% 3x 60% auras = 180 x 62.16% = 111.88% mana reserved. No. 2x 60% + 1x 40% = 160 x 63% = 99.47% mana reserved. YES! Unless my math is wrong. But im pretty sure im right. Im in nemesis also, and my split arrow is like 1.2k and my frenzy is at 4.1k. Im only running wrath and anger now with no 5L's. IGN - Bootloops

Speaking of the cost of auras - from reading the main post, I got the understanding that running both wrath and anger was pretty important for the build.
If thats still the case - have you changed your view on when you would pick the reduced aura notes in the lvl'ing process to be able to run both - any thoughts? All the best - really enjoying the build so far. |

" Ok sweet, level 17 reduced mana then it's a go... Tyvm. How are you doing without running grace? Is it working out? Seems like Anger instead of Grace will boost the dps veeery much. I'll try get the right links and check it out... |
