[1.1] Davos Seaworth's Elemental Split Arrow Build - Solo every map with ease!

Im playing with BM gem + Unwavering Stance. My gear is pretty low, coz im poor, my best loot is andavarius which im using from time to time. Right now my 3 frenzy charge single target spell is kicking foes for 8.5k dps. Im playing on almost full res (64% fire, rest caps on 77, -50 chaos), 3.7k hp, 3k armor. My survi is good for me, but im lookin for something to buff my dps.

OK, first time I had an opportunity to play around my archer.

New tree seems OK, not too much problems there.
First look, lost some DPS thnx to BM, my SA attack was 2825, now went to 2558 which is substantial hit. My life however went to 4900 (from 3500) which is insane growth.

However, being at lvl 74 I could not take second WED circle near templar. I think I had it before. So DPS should not be affected much if you're on higher lvl or arrange tree differently then me. Even with gem less we should stay in near same DPS. Ive taken out few life nodes and grabbed inner circle, so I ended up with 2763 DPS (was 2825) and I still have second WED circle to make up the difference and 4300 life (was 3540) which is not bad.

I could not be at peace :) so I had to try, I've respecced inner circle and tried second WED circle, 2890 DPS now, and 4490 life, which is more then OK and much better than it was before.

Aura changes affect us for certain, like most of my other classes too. We can run wrath and anger which is OK, however What is left is soo little that I can barely cast ele. weakness. I mean I can but not on every mob group, just bosses. So I needed yet another BM gem, and arranged my totem and increased radius, ele weakness into my gloves now.

Luckily one crazy guy GAVE AWAY his 4 BM high level gems to me, with no cost. And badass several EX worth boots too. He says he's sick and tired of old leagues :) I cant blame him but I'm really just out of being poor to be poor all over again :) Cheers BurgundPL!

We are left without grace which is bad, we are (some that take alternative path like me) left without(or rather with partial) stun immunity which is not disaster but still... makes you somehow uncomfortable :)

Luckily, simple and powerful remedy is at hand, we can use last armor slot (like helm) for fabulous new "cast on damage taken" game which improves survivability of any character DRASTICALLY. Like by 100%. Combos like decoy totem, enduring cry, molten shell work wonders. Enjoy until future nerf :)

Ofc I have to give up on my frenzy/culling/IIR/IIQ but I never got anything useful from that "boss slaying" combo anyway :)

Overall I would say that his build survived 1.00 very nicely. Alive and kicking :) And yes, here's my tree;

Well that is all part of plan but yes, looking back I should grab ballistic mastery first.

I think I will respec into a BM gem eva/acro/Ondars crit build. If you take the 3 mana reservation nodes above the ranger start, you can still run Grace/Anger/Wrath on mana. You can get 7 frenzy charges and quite a bit of attack speed.

All my gear happens to be eva gear anyway. I just need to make sure I'll meet attribute requirements for my auras. It just doesn't seem like the trek over to the NW part of the tree is necessarily worth it anymore.

Using all the same gear as before, just rechroming my bow and maybe picking up some Maligaros if I like the build.

Interesting approach andaval, honestly i was thinking in re arranging my build otherwise just for the sake of change but in my research of similar builds I find nothing that would convince me change was justified enough.

I've heard that that specific ranger defense tree synergy can offer maximum survival btw.

What about offense? Crit based but not too much crit or accuracy nodes? No resolute t.? No static blows? I'm not entirelay convinced with this ... Anyway keep us informed how you like your new tree :)

OH one more thing, getting RRRGG on eva armor is pura pain, i know because I've sold mine to get STR/EVA based armor.

And getting 4R gear piece for nice "cast on damage taken" is even worse.
