[1.1] Davos Seaworth's Elemental Split Arrow Build - Solo every map with ease!

In case anyone is wondering, the extra gore weapon effect is awesomely awesome with this build. I start raining arrows on a group and blood and bones start flying everywhere. :)

Hey, I'm following this build and lvl 31 atm (second char, highest one is lvl52)
I must admit that I'm enjoying it pretty well ...

BUT it's almost impossible for me to use either SA or Frenzy with any support gem
mana cost is too high, I also don't use any curse/aura to keep my mana pool as high as possible ...

I found a solution for single target and switch to Elemental Hit
this one is really cheap and effective at this level and I could link it with life leech without beeing oom in a second but for SA I'm stucked with an unlinked skill

by the way i still keep as much gem needed for the build socketed to level them up during leveling process
but I find very frustrating not to be able to sliglthly increase my effectiveness with linking skills
(I thought that "chain" gem was a key progress point in the build but mana cost is still unaffordable for me)

So my question is how do you deal with this during leveling process ?

I use a Strom Cloud bow (no physical damage so no way to think about mana leech item like Slitherpinch gloves nor Wurm's belt ..)
-> must I change my bow for a physical one for leveling purpose only ?

Other question is about items and mostly sockets and links:
what is the most common way to grab what you need ?
- Farming for ages ? Seems to need huge luck to find the right item with the right number of sockets, right links and right colors ?
Can you give me some tricks on what is the most efficient way in this case ?
- Or is it better to invest some (a lot ?) currencies to craft what you need by yourself ?
- Or must I struggle like a damned with what I already own, stack currencies and buy/trade at higher level ? Won't I be stucked during leveling by not having stuff up to date ?

First, forget about crafting. Don't ask why just forget it. Crafting in general is seldom worth it and crafting on low levels is never worth it.

Second, use poe.xyz site that indexes forum shop threads, there find gear that you need and buy it. Leveling gear costs 1-2 chaos max (per good piece) and often 1 alch/fuse. Buy some semi decent 4L stuff that will carry you to lvl 60 where good stuff starts to be available.

About mana problems, I used to have mana leech /mana on hit on most of gear. For beginning you don't need too much stats on gear, jewelry especially, some elemental damage and mana leech will do. Put it as attack gem too /support (mana leech). Don't use chain for SA, rather use fork. Chain is much MUCH better then fork but it's quite expensive as well.

Later when you get blood magic, link it to life leech everywhere as explained and things will be better.

Lol not quite - Life on hit for SA, life leech for frenzy - which is logical.

Well, you said everywhere. I'd never use LL on SA/LA - and actually, while leveling, LGoH is better then life leech on your frenzy, unless you're really lucky and are able to get 2 5Links before starting maps, or hitting your late 60's.

Y you probably right. I've read somewhere that Lleech beats LoH only after 1000 dps+ so in leveling (and with our attack speeds) it's probably better to stick to LoH.

Is it possible to use Death Harp for this build or should i stick to Storm Cloud ?

Deathharp is a garbage bow. Storm Cloud is pretty awesome until you can start using thickets or a well rolled Grove.
