PCoC is nothing near volls in case of calculating crits and gaining charges up quickly. It works slow and unreliable and it doesn't count in each projectile /enemy hit like voll's does. Nothing is, really.

To pull simple comparison, using discharge without volls is like running around with big gun, nude, but that gun is real pain to load, you have to do it manually with stick and lead balls and powder.

whats your max mana with Scion and max with Templar? Also whats your Discharge cost? Can you cast 2 Discharge in a row? Is it possible with Voidbringer? Also what auras ure running?

In short aura nerf hit us pretty hard, because we were stretched thin already. I'll have to rework part of tree and gear and I'm still not sure if I can cast twice in a row.

As far as the skill build goes, see last page. I posted mine for templar. I've decided to stop my scion at 42 and start anew yesterday, my Domination templar is 39 right now. The issue is that I'd have to go into the templar tree anyway and both VP and US are close enough to interesting charge nodes that templar makes sense. Like I wrote, 7 end 7 power charges now if you take the endurance charge quest reward. :)

My max mana is 300. Enough for 2 discharges. I run purity and disc, before level10 clarity, now level 3 is possible for me.

u can cast 2times discharge in a row with 300 mana? how is that possible? my discharge costs 259 lol...(discharge, life leech, mana leech, AoE and Crit damage)...whats your secret?

edit: I am retarded, its cos of the Voidbringer....meh, I guess this item is R.I.P with templar now, without another 15 ex to buy rare gloves cant even play this build lol

I don't run mana leech and don't have void bringer. My mana cost is 120 or so. Gloves don't have to be 15ex, I paid 8 for mine..

Ah ok...I am currently hesitating if I should just go full damage with frenzy charges+CI or this original build with low life+MF without CI...problem is u cant do maps without CI, what areas are worth farming with this build? Lunaris lvl got nerfed and Ive heard (havent tested myself) that the Dominus area is full of chaos mobs.

I quickly checked. My mana cost is 110 per discharge. I don't remember any chaos damage in the new zones (but could have missed it), however the final fight had chaos in it, viper strike. It's a pain in the arse to run to Dominus, not sure if you've done that already. Lunaris 2 and 3 can be done in 3-4 minutes, Dominus.. even with latest waypoint.. much longer I assume. Then again it might just take practice and a better movement speed.

Just try it. What do you have to lose, 10%xp is nothing.

Voidbringer are giving me almost 700 of ES more, they are highest ES, best crit damage gloves for mage combined, and when I got mine price was around 2 EX, on anarchy.

Well it depends are you doing character for mindless boring farming or badass general mob exterminating? When you know what you want decision is easy. :)


Oh and today after heavy respec and loss of 25 regrets I was able to optimize route (thnx to stiffy) and grab deep thougts (forced to do them really), when I get back from gifts to my old perandus ring I have mana at 862 /380 reserved /482 to play. My discharge - 241. Yes 50% exactly :) But even with gifts (432) it's still playable.
