[1.0.6] CI Crit Dagger Shadow (30k DPS Flicker Ninja) [OB video up!]

I'm talking about a new passive keystone which is currently tested out on Alpha which changes HP/regen into Shield/regen which would be a must go option if you intend to do Chaos DoT maps (not just for that, just an example) at all with CI.

But then again, thats all speculation and its nothing fix yet, i guess we should just wait for OB so we have the tools in our hand and can decide with which one of those we play the best.

So far, from the information i heard. It is simply un-efficient for shadow to travel all the way to reach ES regen nod. How are you guys thinking about using life leech gem, which got buffed a lot? With Ghost weaver and decent aps i think this build is still viable and fun =)

is it possible for this build to utilize 5 diamond flasks and use lightening strike projectiles for instant mob kills?

I've noticed that compared to Feels ranger build which utilizes 5 diamond flasks with increase recharge and get the alchemist node for that extra flask recharge, allows him him to instantly kill large packs of mobs. His build is very similar in nature in terms of using high crit multipliers, but without the crit chance nodes since he can use the diamond flasks as substitutes for that effect.

(For those of you that do not know what I'm talking about, here's a video demonstrating the 5 diamond flask with the "Perpetual" affix allow him to have almost 100% crit chance uptime: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sKmutYDACpg).

I was wondering is it possible to have similar farming speed capabilities if I used 5 diamond flasks with increase recharge using this shadow build w/ lightening strike?
Sure chocolate, you could just neglect the crit chance nodes and go for pure crit multiplier nodes instead and rely on diamond flasks. Warning though, you'll probably find yourself dying more often, especially to reflect mobs

what is the min resitance u should have ?..
Any quick word on the assumed impact the nerf to CI will bring to our spec? CI will no longer grant chaos immunity, offer slightly less energy shield and require 5 more points to do so. Is surrendering 99.9% of your health pool worth even speccing the new CI now?

hey inva i been looking at the open beta patch notes and with the changes to ci is it even worth going ci? could you elaborate on possibly making this build hp?

The devs want CI to be a choice, rather than an automatic option. Right now as it stands, most casters and intel builds gravitate towards CI automatically, and the choice is no longer there.

Come Open Beta it is very much likely that CI will be nerfed. but that doesn't mean that all CI builds in general will be destroyed. They will however be weakened, that much is sure.

I do feel that this build could still be doable, but we'll have to wait and see.

With regards to the HP version, yup! In fact, I've already drafted two HP alternatives to this build, both Acrobatics + HP based and Armour + HP based. I'll post them up come OB :)

I think people are overestimating the nerf to CI. Imo CI will be just as powerful as it is now, if not more so. They simply rebalanced it to account for the new (possible) Keystone that allows your Life regen to apply to your ES. This is a BIG deal as it allows another source of ES regeneration besides waiting for the cooldown and ES leech through ghost Reaver.

You can now make use of Rejuvenation Totem or vitality as a CI build, this is something you would not have been able to do before.

If they left CI in its current state and on top of that added the new keystone CI would have been over the top WAY OP. Basically, ES users get a buff and a nerf which balances out in the end.
