Lv96 Poutsos' Flicker Nuke - Outdated
Yeah reflect is obviously instant death. My weapon is Bloodrage - Immortal Call - Inc Duration.
My links for that single taget screenshot: Flicker / Multistrike / Melee Phys Dmg / Melee Dmg on Full Life / Inc Crit Dmg / Inc Crit Strikes Usually it's melee splash instead of melee physical dmg, and power charge on crit, instead of inc crit strikes. I'll post up my gear and build later. Gotta get some sleep for work tomorrow. |

this thread is pretty crazy.
the amount of dps you guys are achieving is insane. I guess it literally becomes you can kill anything before you take any damage, except of course reflect. im building a "blender" concept dual wield evade based ranger. I use soul taker on offhand however, and will be running with a dagger on main hand. Theres no way i'll be getting as much dps as this but i think i'll be more balanced with survivability, after all as some have said in this thread 100k dps is enough, haha. the achievements you guys are striving for and reaching are pretty awesome tho. hope my build works out, but so far so good. right now im lacking the dps (at like 17k or so) but i have really pretty bad gear, lowish level (73) and won't be fully specd into crit until 80. the soul taker brings down the crit chance, but im hoping the way dual strike works (will be using dual strike over flicker) basically both weapons will be averaged. Dual strike hits with both weapons, and both crit chances are factored in to where one weapon can crit where one doesn't. the result is a critical strike. Both can crit as well, resulting in a big crit strike, or both do not crit. So having one dagger with 75% crit chance and soul taker with around 38-40% crit chance the result will result in a lot of crits either way. Dual strike also has added crit chance with quality just like flicker. And it inherently has a higher dps since it uses both weapons combined instead of alternating, so its a stronger 1 punch if you will. have you guys tried these dps things with dual strike or any other attack skill to actually have higher dps? |

I haven't tried everything but I don't think Flicker can be topped.
It does 125% of base damage, and 20% quality gives 80% critical strike bonus. Frenzy has quite a bonus too, but not the base damage of Flicker. That's how I found out about this build in the first place. I was trying to make a super fast attacking / critting frenzy splash build, and I met the OP who showed me the way... then found out he had a thread about this, lol. " Flicker CI build with dagger and shield provides the BEST DPS among all melee builds, based on other skills (while saving the same survivability) Sure, you can use Dual Strike, and it can match Flicker, but if you will try to get the same ES amount with Dualstrike, your DPS will still be fucked up by taking lots of ES nodes. But Flicker not only provides the best DPS, it also provides instant reach to enemy. It allows you to dodge most projectiles and even melee hits, while devastating your enemies. With good accuracy and crit chance, almost every hit lands as crit, and recovers you to almost full ES, and the time between attacks is around 0.15 seconds. Such magnificent leech makes player virtually invincible, as long as he has stun immunity, enough ES pool to avoid oneshots, dispels freezes(or is immune to them) and dont let his charges to fade. Or, until he faces reflect unprepared (without Immortal Call, or Granite, at least). Or, until he desyncs. Anyway, Flicker is the best melee skill for solo play, and since solo play is most viable, that means Flicker Strike is the most viable melee skill in the game! IGN: MortalKombat

I have been told that my dagger with no crit ( 6.98% ) was not enough good for the build. SO i traded it for a bow. I wonder if i made the good choice.
( i mean reading about this build and how much you seems to have fun with it.. oh well Anarchy/Onslaught T-Shirt Owner.

I'm pretty much done with the ladder in Anarchy, and have respecced into flicker strike a while back. The following is my opinion of the build and it's capability in high lv mapping.
As a background I'm a lv 95 shadow with 378k single target and 277k AOE with flicker strike. Single target would break 400k if I wear Meginord's. I could try to post a screenshot later if I have the time. Mapping with this build is definitely possible even in lv 75+ maps. However you will die to one of the following 1. Melee Reflect 2. Desync as a result of flickering multiple times 3. surrounded by large pack of mobs and getting stunlocked 4. Running out of mana or charges I have found that the right balance is around 70-80% lightning strike and 20-30% flicker strike. Some maps work better for flicker strike than others such as open area maps like Plateau, Precinct, and Shipyard. Flicker strike should be kept to minimal in Necropolis and Crematorium because of the fact that you can flicker from one room to another, and trapping yourself into a room full of mobs. I think it's possible for me to go from lv 95 to lv 96 on this build if I tried hard and minimize my mistakes, but would I want to do that? Probably not. This build is definitely more viable if the desync and the auto target aspects of the skill is fixed. Standard IGN: froznheart

" It's fun man, but it can also get frustrating. I've gotten good at seeing physical reflect, but a lot of times it's just a super random unavoidable flicker where you end up two screens away from where you were. Edit: If you build more like Poutsos, you can still have really high DPS but not die to reflect. If I actually ever get to like level 87+, I would probably do the same. It would be too hard to continue to level with my build as it is now. Last edited by PhreEkGarden#7624 on Sep 27, 2013, 11:33:22 AM

^^^ I just want to get to level 85, possibly 90. With the right amulet I would love to hit 400k DPS, but that won't be for several levels.
