I am currently lvl 58 and trying to complete the build and go on RF
few quick questions 1) Should I go with RoTP or Springleaf? still quite unsure about that, I have currently 3K ES, it might drop slightly when I get wondertrap/aurseize but not significantly 2) Blood Magic vs Malachai? 3) How much regen/sec is actually needed? Do I need trolls blood or is it possible without it and without springleaf? 4) What gems really benefit from quality in this build? Spark, Fork, Faster Casting and Righteous Fire? I am currently not rly rich to buy afford all gems with high quality thanks in advance |

" 1) For just farming lunaris/docks RoTP is pretty awesome. The added fire res is nice against titty bitches and dogs, not to mention the additional movement speed. The problem with ROTP is that it is generally more expensive than springleaf; therefore, if you have one I'd recommend you use it until you start mapping, otherwise just buy a springleaf and save yourself some $. 2) Malachai is very tedious now. Depending on your gear you may opt to forgo the marginal dps/movement increase to save yourself the headache of constantly rebuffing/re-equipping. If you're alright with rebuffing/equipping I don't see any reason to not use Malachai. 3)I believe there is an equation in the first post of this thread. Just plug in your numbers and it'll give you the amount you need. Using numbers that may be similar to yours, with 3k es 78 fire res and 650 hp you'll need ~4.8% life regen to sustain. Easiest way to achieve this is through springleaf. If you use ROTP then you'll only need ~3.1%. I'd advise you to skip trolls blood and go towards nullification that way you set yourself up to grab damage nodes when you're able to. 4) I'm unsure which is the best to start with. Personally I'd just keep an eye open for any cheap lvl 20 gem, or one with a decent amount of quality, and pick them up in no particular order. |

" thank your for the answer 1) I currently have none, either way I am gonna buy it and I can afford RoTP, I just meant if the extra investment to it is worth it:) 2) So u get more damage and and movement speed with Malachai? I dont understand how, its just a mask u get on to cast on blood magic effect and then u swap it...or am I missing something? 3) If I need 3.1% regen with RoTP how do I achieve it without trolls blood? Is it even possible? I have currently 2.5% from nodes (no trolls blood), do I have to take some other regen item when I chose to run with RoTP and without Trolls blood? 4) I rather meant what kind of gems are rly important to have quality with, like obviously its more important to have quality on spark then on the auras cos they only influence the are of effect. thanks in advance |

" 1) I bought my ROTP right away when anarchy started and I rarely used it since I jumped into maps as soon as I got a shavs (couldn't sustain RF w/ it and many map mods). In hind sight I should have saved the currency it cost me because it sat in my stash since. Unless you'll be spending a lot of time farming outside of maps with decent gear, I would suggest you grow accustomed to springleaf and not even bother with ROTP. 2) You equip Malachai so that you can cast multiple auras on your health. Take it off and cast the remaining aura(s) on your mana; in doing so you're able to run haste. Without Malachai it is much harder to run haste for most setups. As an example, I run Vitality, Purity, Grace, and Disc on my health pool with Malachai, and Haste on my mana pool. I use shav's ring for mapping so I have no use for clarity, and is the reason I run grace. 3) If you don't have a really good MF amulet then the easiest way is to use the unique tiki neck. Again, you'll need much better gear to run ROTP and sustain RF without taking trolls blood and using the tiki amulet. If you're bullheaded and vain, such as myself, you can farm without an MF amulet and look pretty while doing so. Otherwise, the smartest option is to use springleaf and enjoy being able to sustain AND regen ES while running RF. 4) I would focus getting quality on Spark, Fork, FCR, Item Rarity/Quantity. Like I mentioned before, I don't feel comfortable saying which should be prioritized, simply because they're all very marginal gains. Last edited by Mouchi#1867 on Aug 27, 2013, 4:48:10 PM

" The amount of regen/sec is dependent on the amount of life, total fire resistance and ES you have. There is no set number. For early on Springleaf is what you want. It'll be much much easier for you to sustain. Later, when you get more endgame high ES etc. gear you can use RotP. He said more DPS with malachai cause he assumes you can't run all the auras. You'll need around 700 life and a lvl20 Blood magic gem (and at least lvl 19 reduced mana x 2). Also, you'll use a lower level clarity. It's a little harder to obtain that I suppose unless you buy it. Malachai you don't need BM gem and you don't need lvl 19 RM and you really only need 1 RM with malachai. But you have to shuffle things and recast every time you zone and malachai must stay in inventory. So, it's a pain. Quality on spark won't show DPS increase but the sparks move faster and it helps clear. Really, it doesn't matter which you do first. Maybe faster casting, Spark, RF, Fork. Then item quantity and rarity. Pacific (GMT -8) Time

Thanks for all the tips and helping!!
1 question: In the build, at lower level passives, static blows (http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Static_Blows) was picked, and later removed at the passives for higher levels, is Static Blows not worth having at all (or redundant) in the higher levels, or was it removed just to liberate points best spent elsewhere?? "It is a cruel joke that man was born with more intent than Life."

" Some took it for points to use elsewhere but I love having it. It gives a nice chance to stun enemies which helps with bosses like piety. If you had absolutely insane (4K+ dps) then perhaps it wouldn't be necessary. I keep it though. Pacific (GMT -8) Time

I am level 60, starting merciless. I want to gear this character up to farm Docks/Lunaris with the best possible return. I have about 3 ex, 7 GCP, 16 Chaos, and miscellaneous other currency to spend. I also have Wondertraps, Sadimas, Perandus, and 1 borrowed Andvarius. What should my priority be in gearing up? And roughly how much should I spend on each important piece? My best guess is that I need Springleaf, ES Chest (4 or 5-l?) and Helm, and maybe Eye of Chayula. But before I blow all of my hard earned startup currency I'd appreciate some veteran confirmation.
