Someone answer this pls!
There is an achievement : "Slay the 13 rogue exiles (Anarchy only)." This means there will be 13 types of rogue exiles, or what? or total 13 rogue exiles for the 4 months, so like you run into a computerexile in every 10 days? D3 treasure goblins's escape portal is an entrance to Wraeclast

Hem, how is standard league going to become a "ghost town" ?
Just because you won't play your characters anymore after 4 months in anarchy doesn't mean everybody is going to do the same. Besides, if you join the game halfway through one of those temporary leagues "life time", chances are you'll want to play your character for more than two months. I can already sense some sort of elitism here, saying "Onslaught" > "HC" > "Anarchy" > "Softcore". Sigh. To learn is to live...

" Standard was always meant to be Dumpster league by design.. You can't really have thought it'd be great on a league that gets dumped on from the other leagues did you? They have ALWAYS said, that no leagues will be made easier than Standard because Standard will be the parent league for all leagues. Besides, at the end of 4 months everyone's characters will be standard again, the game will release in full and there should be new players coming in at that time. I myself will be avoiding Dumpster-League like a plague by then, and will be playing one of the new 4 month leagues. IGN: NoahsArChen

" +! I never dropped an exalt having 2 chars >80 lvl and 2 another > 70 lvl. Exalts are not from farming, are from trading. But I prefer to play PoE than PoEopoly and I farm to find upgrades, no to find goods for sale. It make me laugh sometimes, when I look on trade chat and see people offering items which are for me vendor trash. Fortunately, I was quite fortunate and I was able to gear my characters from my drop and from few small purchases, I even have some spare 5L armours. Anticipation slowly dissipates...

the fact is they have changed the game immensely with this new patch incoming..the changes are good, almost all of them. They essentially need to wipe the game at this point, in closed beta it would of been more blatant "guys we have a huge patch incoming, your current characters will be locked to legacy league". but as I said they made the brash move to claim no more character wipes and here we are getting a wipe.
standard won't be as bad as a legacy league, but its almost essentially the same thing. Its clear a wipe was needed after reading the leaked patch notes.. |

" Like I said, Anarchy will last for 4 months, and yes people will probably jump on it while it's there, and yes that will probably kill Standard for 4 months, but after 4 months is up EVERY Anarchy character will be moved to Standard. At that time, the game should have gone/will go into full release. This should bring in an influx of new characters to the game, who, will probably pick standard, as well as the people who just got off Anarchy probably playing standard on their characters as well. I've seen many people in this thread and across the forums saying Anarchy doesn't interest them in the slightest, because they don't want to roll new characters. Those guys will be around playing Standard with you. I also don't get your logic. "New leagues are coming out, so no one is gonna play standard. They should wipe everyone's characters." " If you play for fun and enjoyment of game, it doesn't matter which league you play. If you play to show off, it probably matters. I'm in general against leagues, but it is visible, that the only sense for creation of new character, will be to create it in one of leagues. So I probably be playing in Anarchy league, but only because I want to create templar wanderer in addition to my other characters, and I'm going to play this character in Standard, when Anarchy will finish. And I want to find those "unique uniques" because it can be upgrade for may main characters in Standard league. Anticipation slowly dissipates... " I'm 100% with you. Except that the only reason why I'm playing Standard is because there was no alternative. I like the stable economy that HC offers, but I don't subscribe to the "only way to enjoy the game is to be forced to roll new characters at random" or "Never die" mentality that you gotta have to play HC. I play my characters until I'm done with them, and then I use those characters to fund new characters. Getting harder to fund new characters now that the effects of being a garbage bin are catching up to Standard, so I welcome the new leagues with 4-month life-cycles approach. It's the perfect fix. " wipe everyones characters? did you play closed beta? what I am implying is the creation of a superior league IS THE WIPE. and as far as sticking with standard.. I don't play dead games.. and I don't play on dead or close to dead servers.. I would have no fun investing more time on a server like standard.. and your solution of me returning to the game 4 months from now in hopes of my character being on a populated server again isn't ideal. I'll play anarchy like everyone else.. with a new character (ala a wipe) and I doubt ill ever get as far as I got on my other characters.. plus the reality of it taking 4 months to get to where I was.. just to have my character thrown back into legacy league as they announce a new league when anarchy ends.
