I'm really worried about this new patch...Major changes comes with major problems, thats for sure. What really bothers me is the possibility to happen exactally the same problem that made millions of people quit diablo 3: the creation of new items, transforming the pre-patch items in worthless junk. I've worked very hard to reach what i have now, and would be a total disaster if everything loses it value. Thats exactaly what happened in diablo 3, and was exactally what made me quit diablo 3.

So far the game is awsome, i got no complains about it...every patch was interesting in its own way, and nothing was disbalanced. I really dont see the need of this major patch. The drop options are something interesting, but thats it.

Back to the items topic, what i see in the game now is everybody selling all the gear, so they can buy new ones in the new patch. For real GGG, dont you think that is ridiculous?

I really hope that everything i've achieved in this game dont go down the garbage, otherwise we are going to see the reedition of diablo 3.

P.S: Diablo 3 is a terrible game, always was, but before that change was at least a playable game. POE is what everyone expected diablo 3 to be, so please, dont screw that up.

What new items are you talking about? I think you mixed something up.

As long as they keep everything in proportions with the rebalance so that its still challenging then this is a much needed patch. As for the nothing was disbalanced part, yes it was. When Range can kill monsters far enough away without even seeing them and melee had to go up in there face. There is a disparity there. Now, Melee was not broken i will say. But it definitely was more challenging over range that it should be. The game should be challenging not based on Range Vs Melee choice, but by the actual gameplay in general.

As far as the gear goes, they gonna have to rebalance alomst everything to fit the new scales. SO there is the concern of the gear being worthless. But as long as they rebalance in proportion like i said, then the old gear should still be very useful. like just cuz the rebalance I don't think Kaoms heart will suddenly become crap. Some of the stats on those items are still gonna be very good with all the changes.
I used to play Diablo 3, then I realized it doesn't have a Shabby Jerkin.

Sir I dont think that you understand that you are Playing a game that is in open beta. Please realize you are a beta tester, I dont care about your build or items, the game needs to be improved upon.

There are some new base items in the new leagues. But there are also some items from the current leagues that will not be in the new leagues.

Well, i think ranged and melee are about the same in every game...someone has to atack far away and others will jump into the mess. It's up to you to choose. I preffer the melee, and have no complains so far.

In that point i cant argue, but, you have to consider that the people who will play the game after beta will be 90% formed by the ones that play today in the open beta. So what i'm trying to say since back there is that everything need to be done carefully, so you dont loose the clientele.

If the value of life is decreased kaoms heart will be crap, because it has no other stats or sockets. But that is ok imo because an item with only life should of course be weaker than a 5- or 6linked armor with tons of great stats.
But for sure it will not become wortless. With the new changes it will become very easy to play a lowlifechar. And for these builds kaoms is still a great item.

its a beta test that is already making money on transactions. you act as if its a beta for a 60 dollar game.. its a beta for a free game and its method of making money is already live,

not to mention the promise of no more wipes brought in half the player base assuming it wasn't wasted time.
Kaoms costs 30 exalts....
I play for 4 months now and I play about 10 hours a day 4 days a week and I found about 12 exalts worth of orbs (combined)
Kaoms costs about 30 exa at this moment, so to actually farm enough to buy it I'd have to be playing 20 hours a day 6 days a week.... Is this a fan base you desire GGG?
Grinding Gear Games, you really live up to your name!
Now I'm lvl 79 on my marauder and I just accepted that it is impossible for me to ever lvl up again, unless something changes, I get 3% experience for lvl 66 map, highest map ever I got was 69, and I am unable to do them with my gear and quite well designed melee character.
i hope some thought was put into what would happen if you set an amount of hp reserved for auras and then log in dead X D
