I think the rewards are fine as they are. If anything there should be a 550 currency reward for level 75. The gap between 70 and 80 is huge.

This is the kind of race I enjoy. The kind of race where the point is to stay alive first and foremost, and playing quickly and efficiently is only secondary.

I like that in a race like this, some dumb gimmicky build that allows you to grab 24+ levels in 2.5 hours and is not particularly viable after cruel will not work.

Really who cares about a currency flood before OB anyways, besides knowing what something like that does to the economy is also useful. And if many people are like me, it doesn't take very long at all to chew through 300 orbs.

I'm in the deaths top 5 ... yet

I really enjoyed this race, and I feel like the the devs should have gotten some very good balance info from it. I hope they do more races similar to this in the future, as there is plenty of time to get a good amount of rewards. I hit 70 with plenty of time to spare, and probably could have gotten another character to 60, aside from dying when my internet failed.

I think the rewards are ok currently, as they give out tons of loot, comparably, for the 3 hour events, and these require a significant time investment. I hope they don't switch only to cash shop points for rewards, as those don't really provide me with much incentive.

the effort to do this step is also immense, just take a look of the gaming statistics of some of the top players! (metronomy is one of the fastest racers we all know, needed ~2400 minutes from 0 to 70, but >3500 minutes from 70 to 78 (if I remember right, cant access the page right now)

How much XP between 79 and 80? Does Machoke have a chance at 1000 orbs?!?
