I dont get it Chris, you guys from GGG made almost everything right, but why isnt every map "map to maker"?
No one, who joins a party, goes there with the intention to increase his map pool. If he gets a map drop, he thinks "oh, cool, I got a map, I wont give it to him" but thats it. If a map gets stolen from maker, he will just have a bad mood, randomly kick someone if he dont know who it was, and stop playing after the map is cleared.

We, as a maker, cant think any reason to let someone who joins the party get a map. We use so many currency on those maps, those people who join dont use anything, they can buy twice as much maps with the currency we spend on maps..

Well, I stopped playing in public parties over a month ago because of the loot and map2maker system (many maps got stolen from me), I would play again in public but this definitly makes it a no-go for me as a map-maker..

+1, When I join a party I dont see any reason why I should get the amount of my maps higher. Obviously I really would like to, but its M2M everytime anyway and I also know that its supposed to be, if the maker invests Orbs in the map, he atleast should get the maps dropping in it (if hes lucky and it DOES drop maps, often it doesnt even lol).
This is one of the things i really hate of PoE
I would like the individual party loot system of D3
I think it would be better if you only can select the type of drop when you create the party, rather than when you create a instance.
I think the option for maps to mapmaker is a bit strict on the people who play hardcore.

The map maker invests the currency into the map so as to sustain their map pool.
The map maker then finds a bunch of other characters willing/able to take on the mods on said map, and runs it with them.
Once they have a map of equal or higher level from that map, then they have effectively sustained their map pool.
From then on, all people in the map are on an equal footing, all risking their characters life, so why the need for ALL maps to go to the map maker?

The map group I was running in had the rule where the maker would get the first map, and then all other maps would go to the named person. This meant they were keeping up their pool, while everyone was being rewarded for their time in a meaningful way. We also rotated who was putting their own maps into the device, and everyone got quite a bit out of it this way.

The reason why strict M2M doesn't seem appealing to me, is that one would simply run their own maps, and spending time helping friends complete their maps would seem like a waste of time/too much risk with next to no reward.

Sustain map pool? Yes.
Made up for the investment? Wrong.

Dont even know what so say. This is getting ridiculous.

Allocated items are still visible to everyone, but greyed out.

I don't like this. If they aren't visibile it cleans up the UI, and I thought that's what you guys wanted? Also, change "valuable" with "everything" so that white items don't clutter the screen.
Permanent allocation <3

I'd still rather have instanced loot though

Problem with instanced loot is that it removes a lot of the "Multiplayer" feeling which I feel is important for Path of Exile.

I enjoy very much when I see another party member getting an exalted and I usually type "Grats !!!!!". This would be impossible for me to notice if the loot was instanced.
