Item Allocation Specifics

Well, you see, it's not about 'hardcoreness.' If it was, they should appreciate the patch, as GGG has given them the option for a pure FFA mode, which should be their wet dream. Yet they're complaining.

Why? Why complain when no one is forcing them to do perm allocation? Why complain when they have access to an even more 'hardcore' mode? As has been stated already, it's because now people that don't like that don't have to play with them. Now, if they want to ninja loot, they're going to have to be competing against players that also are trying their best to ninja loot.

This is why their talk about 'competition' is BS. The new FFA mode will allow them to play with other like-minded players, giving them the ultimate competition. They can play FFA and avoid all those 'filthy casuals' that they seem to hate, and GGG gets more players and money to improve the game. Win-win, right?

But you see, it's not about competition. It's not about a lack of hardcoreness. It's that now they're going to have a lot more trouble ninjaing loot. That's why they're upset about these options.
+1
This is a win for everyone, I don't see how anyone could complain.

There is no need to change the current private system of letting all maps go to mapmaker, but the system GGG suggests is on average just slightly worse.

The grand majority of maps are white. The % lost wealth that the map maker loses for not getting a blue or higher maps, is at worst 10-20% I would guess. (Where 100% would be the total worth of all maps that dropped in the instance).

It is a small difference and when people realize mathematically how little difference it really is, they can start appriciating the changes.

Its not because rare and magic maps, especially 70+ ones, are pretty much like white maps. Magic ones make you invest a scouring + alch, rare ones safe you the alch, thats not even close to what the map is worth.

The % doesnt matter because you still havent provided a single reason to why you think leechers should be entitled to get maps. They always leave with a profit, no matter what they do. I as a maker rarely do.

You as a leecher DO NOT DESERVE maps. I am done arguing with you because theres simply isnt a point in doing so. You believe that people who pay 0 should get 1, while the person who invests 1 should get 1 as well. That simply doesnt make any sense. If you want your own map pool you provide your own maps, rolled with ýour own currency. If you are not up to doing that then dont whine if the person who actually did is not up to handing you the payout of his investment.

You provide nothing but get something out of running the map, and yet you ask for more? Unbelievable.

If you are a leecher you do not deserve any exalted drops either, by the same type of argumentation.

I am far more interested in looking at the average extra wealth the map makers get from the two different map rules: the current one for private groups and the proposed GGG one.

I am gauging that the difference is not large. Sure, if GGG implements the current private one for public parties, then people will whine less. However, as long as the difference in average wealth obtained (not net gain) through map drops between the 2 methods is small, I am ok with either solutions.

why not charge players for providing your precious maps. be consistent. ggg provided the game for the majority here for free, many people didn't contribute but constantly ask for more.

unbelievable.

i'm glad that players like you aren't in the majority here.

Oh wow, maybe I will finally enjoy pub games. Permanent allocated loot ftw

I do, because they have to provide damage and not just stand around.

If you want to be witty at least make sure to not look like a complete fool.

You also think that Valve provides summer sales because they love the community so much, dont you? Incredibly funny how naive people are.
