Loot system seems fine to me. It makes an otherwise face roll experience of party play into something less face roll, as you need to be prepared to get your loot out of the fray or not get it at all. It is a decision you have to make, is the drop really enough to put yourself in bad position to compete for it?
The system does not spoil honest party play either. If the item didnt allocate to you...just walk away from it. The loot allocation timer is not designed to prevent you from being an ass to people you play with regularly in private games. If you need instanced loot so you dont "steal" from your friends, you either need better friends, or some professional help. The loot allocation is just another game inside of the game, and it puts people in a pretty predicament. I like it. Hey...is this thing on? Last edited by LostForm#2813 on Apr 10, 2013, 4:07:02 PM

Loot system is fine, since the loot timer patch you have soooooooooo much time to pick up your shit, if you still miss it then maybe stop playing with 2000 latency?
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

In my opinion this is so flawed, you see people literally going for loot rather than killing monsters. >_>
Competitive? Being the greediest of them all? Lmao! ^_^ |

" this is exactly the problem. You do not fix your faceroll party mechanics by ENFORCING players to PvP for the reward...it is non sense to do that you make the GAME challenging not PLAYERS challenging... GGG has made some TERRIBLE design flaws...they try to ENFORCE mindset to systems that have a totall opposite direction i.e PvP Element to REWARD (reward/loot is given for PARTICIPATING in a kill) RNG to END GAME (players SHOULD have access to end game content, you can't make them GRIND for ACCESS!) SINK to END GAME (nough said...this is TERRIBLE way of sinking...worster than the above) GGG's believes that players SHOULD fix THEIR crap's (or lack of insight) and this is totally wrong (that's why PoE is in HUGE decline and keeps going into the downhill) FIX the GAME not the PLAYERS...this must be a quote for any reasonable dev... "some skills cause dsync and have long minimum travel distances.. causing a skill like cyclone to put you at a looting disadvantage. Public parties just plain terrible at this point. |

" I disagree with your firmly on every point. This does not sound like the game for you, and to be honest people will very much enjoy the systems they have in place for a very long time. There are many games, very good games, out there. Perhaps they contain systems more to your liking and expectations. I recommend Torch Light 2, very good game. Not better than PoE, but different and very good. Hey...is this thing on?

" I use cyclone and whirling blades, which happens to be to skills that help me get to he drosp faster. Dysnc is not an issue when it comes to drops. Really, don't know what you're talking about. Public games are not terrible NOR is this game slowing down. Every game i've played in public fills up in seconds. Honestly, i don't enjoy the longer timers just because it screws me over on drops I need. It feels and seems like it takes forever for the timers to run down before I can pick up needed drops. The timers also get in the way of being Full Free For All. Hell, the timers are simply not fair when choosing who gets the chance timer. Really wish this game would just pick a side... Either free for all needs to be REAL free for all. OR instanced loot. Or, at least hide the item until the timer is done. Its rather annoying constantly seeing drops you need drop, yet you have to sit there for 2-5 seconds waiting for the timer to finish counting down before you get a 'chance' to pick it up. " Timers are really long now. If a player is blocking you move around them or simply pick a better path when picking up loot. Watching people bump and grind up behind people and complain about not getting drops is funny tho, so feel free to choose. This is only an issue if you have NO run speed and NO Quick Silver flask. |
