Uh unique items drop highlighted to one player. 2-3 people stood on it as a i ran across the screen to get it and it took me a few seconds and boom they grabbed it. you don't even believe your own lies so please save your nerdspew for someone else.

I agree the item likely dropped with your name on it. Uniques do not drop without allocation.

However, GGG has said that drops such as those are "for the group" and you having your name on it is only "to give you a better chance to get it". Meaning it wasn't explicitly for you. The timer wasn't meant to make CERTAIN you got it. Only to give you an advantage over the other players for various reasons. That advantage wasn't enough, but don't be pissed because you didn't get it. Be grateful you got an advantage at all, imo.

If you don't agree with that design philosophy, this game is not for you. I doubt GGG will change their mind. Based on interviews between Chris with Kripp, GGG does not believe Ninjas exist. I believe he explicitly said it, but if he didn't, he heavily implied it.

Double Post.

Edit: Read my signature for my stance on this. It is a quote of another person, but applies to how I see it perfectly.

The "Chris" quote is something else entirely, he's talking about people posting threads about the same thing (desync, the loot system, etc) over and over.

If GGG has not interest in supporting looting options then they have a weird way of showing it by continually posting that they are "discussing it".

BTW your sig doesn't make much sense since some of the people threatening to leave are the Pro FFAers who can't stand anyone playing differently, and people like myself will stay regardless.

Im 100% sure they did change the loot mechanics. So.......?

The only other option is instanced loot or locking certain loot to the person 'receiving' it. Which is basically instanced loot. BUT what if the person doesnt even know it dropped for them/skip by it on accident. How does that make sense?

Congrats Chris & others for cashing out! I don't blame you. I'll be saving money now... unless I start making a lot more. Can't wait to see if you guys start a new studio in six years! RIP GGG

Looting options would be a lot different than just having one loot system everyone has to use.

I don't really see what you mentioned there as an issue. If you want to get someone elses loot without them having to pick it up and drop it then they can add in a function to unallocate an item by shift clicking it. If you just want to get loot that someone else missed then you can either play on a longer timer or don't play instanced. Thats the beauty of looting options.

They have that (without the shift function) and it's currently implemented.

There is now a longer timer for loot allocated to a certain player.

Still I dont understand what is wanted except for instanced loot.

The timer was not extended by much, the same issues that have been brought up a zillion times are still there. Ranged are at a big disadvantage, people focusing on the loot instead of the enemeies, people standing on top of drops, PVP forced into PVE. Not to mention the new issues that have come up as a result of no names on the loot. Now there are issues with the loot system in private games as well.

Loot options fixes all of this because it gives people choices to have the playstyle they enjoy the most. It does not effect the game difficulty. It does not effect other players.

Still confused. Loot timers are much longer than previous. Again, you want instanced loot or what? (give some ACTUAL feedback)

I think the range for pickup should be slightly bigger, but im pretty happy with the timer as is.

You know when the boss dies and you can barely move or loot because of all the body block? Yea, that sucks.

Theres about 900 pages here and I have been giving feedback since over 700 pages ago, so ya I have given actual feedback. Not to mention the many other players leaving the same feedback that I am.

What's difficult to understand about the timer not being long enough to negate the loot competition in this game? People do not want to compete over the loot and the current system is forced pvp. The answer to all of the problems is looting options. I'm not going to repeat any more than that. Just click back in this very long thread and start reading if your that interested.
