" I've got the same question. As a brand new player, can someone help me with the math? As I understand LS, it's based on the initial physical strike. 100 base hit + 20% Physical Bonus from nodes = 100 + 20% = 120 (60 physical + 60 Lightening (and three 60 lightening projectiles?)) 100 base hit + 20% Elemental/Lightening = 110 or (50 physical + 60 (50 lightening + 20%) and three 60 lightening projectiles?) Baring the bit of extra lightening dmg you may have on your wep, it seems physical dmg nodes are twice as effective as elemental or projectile dmg. My assumptions must be wrong based on how everyone is speccing. |

" Projectile/elemental modifiers will also increase the damage gained from Auras like Wrath, Anger, Hatred. Also keep in mind that Melee damage nodes will NOT increase the damage of the Lightning Strike projectiles. |

What should I be concentrating on gear wise while leveling?
I really appreciate this guide but it does seem to be missing a bit. While I wouldn't expect you to match NinjaArabStrategist's Marauder guide, especially as he seems to have been continually adding to it, I would like if you could do a little more to make yours a bit more thorough if you have the time. I do realize that some of it is in the video but I find most guides translate better and are easier to transverse for the info you want when in written form. Thanks again for the guide. :D Last edited by Ianpact#2768 on Oct 5, 2013, 8:32:38 PM

LS is my favorite skill in the game.
Fun to see this build works. Personally I do think if you are playing LS for its projectile damage this build would be far superior. Keystones, point blank and iron grip are good on the projectile damage of LS. It has 20% more life and 2% more regen. It will have a lot more dex and accuracy % for better consistancy. You will have to use the bloodmagic gem, but that will enable you to use purity/determiniation/hatred on your mana, while using grace + anger on your life (will cost ~400 life). With a 5 skill point investment and lvl 18 reduced mana gem you could run haste too. In your video, you mention that LMP hurts the build more then it helps, even though I kinda agree I do use LMP because it adds so much AoE and makes clearing very easy (except indoor area's). Bloodrage could also add a lot of dmg if you have enough chaos res to sustain the life drain. This character is level 60 now and farming merciless docks very easily. Just come back to the game after a break and saw your build and decided to try it out. Really enjoying it and maps don't seem to be a problem although my gear isn't the best at the moment.
Just one question about what sort of chest armour you would suggest instead of Kaom's Heart? |

What does melee dmg. gem do to this build if inserted indto the 6-link?
Why not use powercharges, it's a critbuild going past all 3? Why not use the 50% crit with staffs and knockback, perhaps with a ballsy reach for knockback distance? Multistrike lightning strike on ranged shift-attacking is a monster, knockback would actually be somewhat usefull. |

Looks like i need to dump a few exalts on this bad boy. 432.18 DPS :] Harvest sucks! But look at my decked out gear two weeks in!
