" Only 1 problem... I don't have any high level maps left. Plus it doesn't really help highlight my build when I play with ranged since you guys pretty much clear the room before I can run up to melee range. " Gear and build, though I really don't have that many dps nodes. A 6L helps tremendously. If I was only using a 5L I would be down to 6.9k. Having 3 dps auras helps a lot too. DISCLAIMER!

Great Vaal video mate. Very informative. Thank you for the tests. I've actually downloaded the video to have it on my PC for future inspection, just in case it doesn't get deleted from youtube :)
The things we learned from the video: 1. Armor above 6k DOES matter :) 2. Stacking different types of defenses is the best defense i.e. enfeeble + high armour + endurance charges and you went from taking 6k damage to taking 2k damage. That speaks enough. 3. Vaal's damage seems to have a bit high variation and to me it seems that the smash can't crit (or you would have been set on fire at least once). Again, thanks for the video.
