I didn't start with a 6L or aegis aurora. Nor did I start with maxed out gems. The build works very well with cheap gear until maps. So by all means, if you want to make the build and get to merciless a3 without having the best gear it is totally possible. I didn't actually begin using Infernal Blow and Melee splash until I was around 70. I leveled with ground slam.

I'm not saying my build is better than a cyclone build, but do try cyclone before making your decision. It takes some getting used to, that's for sure.

I am FINALLY done with my vaal video and VERY pleased with how it turned out. It was a full day to make this baby, but well worth it. I learned some pretty important things while making it. So far, I think it is the best video I have made. Not only does it highlight my build, but it also provides a very good in depth look at ways to defend against vaal smash.

I'm surprised no blocking animation is played when you block the smash. Or do you have so much faster block that it doesnt register?

is it determination for kole and discipline for piety?

how does the % aura stacking go?

I actually don't use determination much at all. After making the vaal video I will prob add determination in place of Vitality next time I run a Maze Vaal. I also swap determination in for vitality for the stasis map mods since you cannot regen life anyways.

You can see my dps with LL in the lunaris 3 to piety video. At the end I put in LL in place of splash. I think it was around 11k dps.

I am not sure what you are asking with the % aura question. Maybe read the aura section of the guide or watch the video and you will have your answer. Otherwise, you may have to rephrase it for me because I don't understand what your asking.

Yes, it does. I go over this in the guide in the important notes section. In my experience, as long as you have max fire resists (i.e. no mods lowering it) mobs with reflect aura don't even scratch you. The REAL danger is the map mod with ele reflect. I ran many of these maps and have found that it is very unpredictable. So after a few deaths, I began using Glacial hammer in place of Infernal blow for these maps.
