Dragon's Immortal Tank (Updated for 1.2)
" No, tbh I don't notice the last few points I have spent on block. The reason I am choosing to grab the last 2 nodes is because there are no more HP nodes close by and I feel that my dps is sufficient for my goals. In 2 more levels I will have 70% block fully buffed. After that, I will start to invest in some dps nodes. If there were hp nodes I could get without wasting more points to get to them, I would choose those instead. No matter how much block you get, you are going to get hit eventually. The question is, can you survive that hit, and recover before the next one. I would love to try this build in HC but my gear is so specific, I wouldn't want to start over with nothing. Good luck on you build man, post a guide when its finished! DISCLAIMER!

" Eh. It will still take me a bit to get the quality gems as I don't participate in the trading game. I will likely be sub optimal for some time as a result but I ca live with that :). | |
" Just be careful man :) | |
this was something I was planning to do...I like it and gonna roll it(already did)...have you tried adding molten shell to the build?
I am trying it out on low lvls while lvling, seems to be ok addition, dunno how much use of it there is late game |

" I have tried molten shell. A lot of my friends rave about it, but I didn't really like it. It felt like I was casting it every other second. And with no cast speed, it just felt like a complete waste of time. I clear much faster just using IB. DISCLAIMER!

Have you tried Melee Physical Damage and Added Fire Damage with IB? I can imagine MPD/AFD boosting the DPH to a much higher level than Multistrike/FasterAttacks combo. MPD should be great for IB because it's a multiplicative damage booster that boosts the physical damage aspect of IB, thereby boosting the fire portion of the skill as well. AFD may be redundant.
I think using an IB setup with MPD, FasterAttacks, WED, Msplash, and BM could be a better combo for tough rares/unique bosses. The higher the damage, the lower damage absorption by enemy armor as they say. " You are correct. Subbing MPD for Multistrike adds a tremendous boost to my damage per hit with only a minor 200 dps loss. But there is something multistrike gives that is better than raw damage. Quality of life :) Using multistrike makes melee splash radius a bit larger as the radius is based on which mob you are attacking, so if you spread the love more will get hit if that makes any sense. Not to mention it helps with desync by allowing you to hold your attack in place button down and still hit things if you are out of sync. I used to use MPD, but after switching to multistrike it was game over. The general concept of the build wasn't at all focused on dps. I was focusing on survival mainly. But this is my choice. Multistrike FEELS better to me, and I am very satisfied with my clearing speed. But I can't say that MS is better than MPD. It is up to the user, but I recommend multistrike. One thing that I haven't tried yet is subbing it in for boss fights. Since I take the time to put LL on anyway, it would be no trouble. I will have to test this and see if it feels any different kill speed wise. DISCLAIMER!

" LOL. It's funny that you linked that because I got smoked by Piety in temple map today. I was so confused because she has never been able to kill me without -max resist mods. Hell, I have even taken on double Piety without dying. Luckily I was recording the fight. As I leaped into battle with Piety, a lone necro on the side hit me with ele weakness. Ofc, I didn't notice it and proceeded to confidently wail on Piety. Then SPLAT. Like I said in the guide, this whole thing has been a huge learning experience for me. It takes a death for me to figure out what I can and can't do with this build. And today I learned a valuable lesson. Keep an eye on your buffs/debuffs. And watch for necros -_- I am thinking about posting the vid to show how dangerous not having max resistances can be. But ofc I hesitate, because it makes me look bad :) DISCLAIMER!
