A small suggestion: I would take a look into those "30% increased defenses from equipped shields" nodes. You are using Aegis aurora, which means you will gain both armour and ES if you drop some points into them.
You can get the points for those by specking out of unwavering stance and the nodes that get you to it, since you basically don't need it. | |
" Any increase in armor at this point is moot. I have over 6k which is the magic number before armor becomes useless. As for more ES, I still have a couple of levels to go on my discipline aura. I also carry 2 granite flasks. As for not needing unwavering stance, I simply cannot picture running high level maps without it. Especially temple piety. DISCLAIMER!

I have been wondering the same thing, why not try to get more ES on your AR/ES gear in general, it seems like a worthwhile effort since you regen it so well with aurora I reckon you should take at least 1 body and soul to increase both armor and ES, the one near Catalyze. And what would you suggest I take points out of vic? I don't know what I have to do to get it through to you. There are no mobs aside from map bosses that can harm me. Period. So stacking more armor or es will do what exactly? Help with the yellow and blue mobs that don't even scratch me as it is?

" Keep your eyes open for those 15% quality infernal blow for 1 gcp. I have seen them in trade often. Splash will be the more expensive, but either way you shouldn't have to spend the full 40 gcp to get them both maxed. Multistrike doesn't need quality. It helps, but getting the aoe radius up to 40% is priority. DISCLAIMER! And yes Enfeeble is a great curse.I have Enfeeble and Elemental Weakness and cast enfeeble on hard hitting bosses. To crit or not to crit ?

Bump for a true tank! I am currently making my own build that I call Fireauder in HC. It also relies on Infernal + AoE range boost + Multi + Splash but I am also working in some Molten Shell and Fire Trap love. We'll see how it goes! I am going to blend you're passive tree leveling in to mine a bit, in that I was going to hit the Templar tree first (and grab the shield nodes /w +resist on them) before going down to Unwavering/Reflexes but as I am in HC and since I should be able to just force my way through Cruel without many damage buffs I am going to pick up Unwavering/Reflexes sooner than later. Better safe than sorry!
I would love to test in SC first but my 60 Mara is spec'd into Lightning Strike hard and I don't want to spend all my currency on regrets to change it up :P Question: A lot of posters in the Mara threads are like "Block chance is junk, more life/armor is a better use of points!"...what are your thoughts and experiences on that? Do you notice a big difference when you add in the last few block nodes and get an extra 10-12%? Cheers mate! |
