Dragon's Immortal Tank (Updated for 1.2)

If you use IB or DS depends a lot on personal preferences. Personally I do like DS better than IB as I feel like I deal more damage, there are so many elemental or fire resistent monsters out there, and life leech works a lot better with DS' pure physical dmg. The downside of this is the reduced AoE and the exploding bodies are missing whic also can be considered pro DS as you won't instakill you against elemental reflect. So just the skill you like best and you have the most fun with and everything is fine.

I also thought about trying something completely different and tried out cyclone for a (really short) while. But that brought too much desync and no fun at all:(
Currently I am considering trying frenzy, don't know if that would deal as much (or more) dmg as DS without any additional Fcharges. Anybody tried that?

Considering Tempest Shield I'd say if you have the mana to use it then use it, if you would need to run it on your life better not use it. By the way how much life does Clarity cost you?

instead of tempest sheild you can run a purity of element for all resist or purity of X (light fire etc) for inc max resist.those aura cost 40% reservation and you can use 2x 60% reservation+1x 40%.imo its more usefull then tempest sheild since it give you more freedom with gear but you can also drop all resist passive for few extra point.

Clarity is at lvl 10 and i have 313 life reserved. im running on 3254/3567 HP at the moment.
I think that i have more dmg with DS, i mean i can run catacombs since lvl 63 its slow but it works. i really miss the soultaker and the multistrike, but one day maybe......

ignore the Helm Gem´s inly blood magic and Clarity is used, the rest is only for lvl up.

You only wear pure armor equipment right now (not talking about Perandus' 50 evasion) and you don't seem to use Grace. So I don't know, if it really makes sense for you to go for IR. IR is only cool if you either use more evasion gear or Grace, which in combination with IR greatly buffs your armor.
Perhaps it would be better to spend some points to increase your blockchance. If I looked right you are at just 48% now (52 with Tempest Shield), which still is pretty low I think.

yeah that was in my mind too, i wear only armor but its easy to get Hybrid gear i belive.
The question is would it be better to use IR and Hybrid gear and switch over from determination to Grace or maybe both and skip Hatred.....
at the moment i need to switch sometimes my rings for resists cuz im lagging on cold or lightning. Maybe ele aura would be cool but i would lose hatred or determination, and i think thats not worth cuz my dmg would fall off i think.
iam running w/o any buffs on 2505 k Armour, with determination its 3857 k armour. maybe a switch to grace and IR would be okay or the block notes and let it as it is....

Talking about gear I would just take the best I can get my hands on, not restricting myself to hybrid Ev/Ar gear just to use IR. On the other side in my opinion Grace alone justifies the use of IR, as I mentioned before this aura alone increases my armor by 11k.

If you skip Hatred for Grace depends on your DPS and if you can clear fast enough even without the bonusdmg. I have 5.5k DPS on my DS now without Hatred. Together with Vulnerability I can clear my maps (never done anything above 73 as I never found a higher one) with acceptable speed when soloing.

my clear speed sucks balls, really....... but i think its cuz of the missing multistrike gem. at the moment im trying some auars. running clarity on bloodmagic and tempest shield purity of ele and determination, this set up is with 1,4k dps. i tried determination hatred clarity, that gives me 1,9k dps so +500 dps but i miss resists and block chance.
too many choices to go :D
with IR and grace + hybrid gear you didnt need determination right ??
is the amount of armour really that high with IR ?? in this case you didnt need determination right ?

Well, I am using both Grace and Determination in order to gain more armor. That 11k from Grace is with Determination included. Without Determination Grace would give me considerably less armor, have no time to go ingame and try right now, but later I'll check that.
But in order to just survive you probably don't need so much armor. I just aim to get full ES with just one block. Right now this fits perfectly and each block heals up my complete 959 ES. But that aside I probably would not need Determination, at least not for lower maps there it would be an option to use Hatred for faster clearing. But thinking about it, I would better keep Determination and switch Discipline to Hatred instead.

All in all it is again a question your personal preferences with your gear as limiting factor. My gear and passives give me enough resis to have max. res on ele weakness maps not needing Purity and also offers sufficient offence, so that I don't have to rely on Hatred. Once you reach this point you can really pick the auras that fit you best. For me those are Determination, Grace and Discipline, as my priority is simply not dying and not killing faster.

i got a bit luck in the last hour. i got a multistrike for 1 gcp 2 chaso and this chest
for 1 divine 5 chaos and the empower gem that i have found. i think i will take the block notes first and now i need to test the auras combos.

This is what I'm running now for IB at lvl 38, wanted to start running Hatred but I just can't get the mana to do it, I oom way to quickly. Is there something else I should be doing? Or am I just not high enough level yet for this to work well?
