Dragon's Immortal Tank (Updated for 1.2)
" I've been running four auras, which are Determination, Grace, Purity, and Anger. Since all auras except for Clarity are being changed to 60% reservation, I'm going to drop Anger and Grace and spec out of Iron Reflexes and use the three points from that to get more life or block. The auras I will be running will be Purity and Determination, because with three endurance charges the loss of armor from Grace and Iron Reflexes is negated completely. This is not counting granite flasks of iron skin.

So we get less stat sheet armor, but more damage reduction than if we were to use Grace and Iron Reflexes, potentially meaning another aura could be used in place of Grace, while also freeing up the three nodes we use to get Iron Reflexes, meaning more life or other stats! All in all, 1.0 shouldn't affect this build much. The nerf to Purity, however...we must wait and see. |

Yes i can skip this build also, Legacy Soul Taker no way to get that.

Not having a Legacy Soul Taker does not make this build impossible to play.
By the time when Dragon first made this build ST did not even exist and even then this build worked pretty well. Having a Soul Taker makes it more effective, no doubt, but unlike Aegis it is not at all needed to make it work. As far as I know Aegis is not Legacy. I think the only thing in the patch notes was about reduced shield defense. Don't know if that affects already existing shields? "The track of your life has come to me, and it goes no further. So, the important stuff (aura buffs):
Grace: 1344 EV ---> 2016 EV Purity: remains the same except Max decreases from 4% --> 2% Hatred: 25% cold --> 36% cold Anger: 49-81 fire --> 94-156 fire Determination: remains the same (except cost 40% reserve to 60%) Discipline: 212 ES --> 318 ES Wrath: 9-147 Lightning --> 18-282 Lightning Aegis lost about 100 armor and 30 ES.... |

Purity (40 %) and 2 x 60 % auras (grace/determination/discipline) can be run with reduced mana gem and reduced mana reservation nodes from Marauder side. Running 3 x 60 % is possible with Alpha's Howl or long road trip to Ranger/Shadow area. Latter one seems not worth it at quick glance.

With the new 1.0 version, saved a lot of passive skill points towards Unwavering Stat and Iron Reflex, which is great! Muhahaha......

" I'm playing now, and I don't think it takes much adjustment. Yes, my dps went down a bit (17.6k --> 15k with Inf Blow, FA, WED, Melee Dmg, Multistrike and Splash). If I sub in added fire dmg for splash it went from 25.4k --> 21.8k. I went ahead and grabbed an Alpha's Howl and can run 3 auras. I always have Grace and Discipline up, and alternate either Anger or Determination depending on how tough the map is. The DPS values above are with Anger running. I'm running Tempest Shield on BM, and still coming out with more health/es than before (300 health more and 150 es more). Resists are at 77/82/77 without Purity. I'm level 90 and this is my tree: I'll probably grab Unwavering Stance next and maybe some of the combined armor/life nodes, or depending on how testing continues and my comfort level I may just get more dmg nodes. Gear as is follows (and yes, I know I can work on my chest, but I'm lazy):
