First Bex then Chris, now Rory has left, POE 1 is all but dead now. GGG is done.

As long as jonathan doesnt touch ruthless there is still hope.
PoE 1 will technically still be around (servers still running ) for years to come but become less relevant with less updates over time. Pregnancy leagues will be more common (aka run for 9+ months).

Not only does PoE2 drains lots of ressources but they also lack people (project lead, devs, mentioned in a recent GGG interview (Jonathan?!)) to make PoE1 good/keep the relative good quality, which is confirmed by the fact that bunch of old OG lead devs left triple G in the recent years.

So what will happen (i assume) is PoE1 will become a side project, Poe2 is the main game and both will have (different) problems mainly caused by the situation that GGG tries to keep both alive.
Masterpiece of 3.16 lore
"A mysterious figure appears out of nowhere, trying to escape from something you can't see. She hands you a rusty-looking device called the Blood Crucible and urges you to implant it into your body."

Only usable with Ethanol Flasks

That's good, PoE1 has so much content anyway
Do whatever but just never close PoE1 servers

Just hire more people and problem solved lol

That does raise an interesting question: How many people are actually on the development team, in total? In previous interviews, Jonathan had thrown around the term "over a hundred" when talking about developer staffing, and the implication was that that number was going to be increased to accommodate PoE Deuce. Are there still actually that many working at GGG?

Because it sure comes across like they mebbe a few teacups short of a garden party over there. ='[.]'=
