For all those talking about the massive currency necessary to invested in maps, I have to think of some map runs last night. Toward the end, we ran some boring blue lvl 66 maps (highest was 34% quantity). On a 17% map, a Lioneye's Glare dropped. A 6 linked weapon dropped on another lvl 66 map that had 22% quantity.

I wonder how many people spending so much currency are running maps with less than 5 people? With 5-6 people, it seems that most maps yield 2-5 drops with occasionally 0-1 or occasionally 6 or 7 (haven't seen 8 drop in a single map yet).

If someone is running the map solo and investing currency, I think they are trying to get the cart to pull the horse faster.

Sorry, but coincidental is the proper word that applies. You might even be able to get away with synchronicity, but that's about it. A lot of players noted that the names on the drops implied ownership of the drop. There were a lot of people on various sides of the issue, and GGG tried to find the best solution in keeping with their vision of the game. If someone think ranting is a productive long term technique they have too much in common with Dilbert's Loud Howard.

Why not restrict top uniques to maps?


Why restrict? Why not ADD some cool uniques that are specific to each map boss? That way each map has its own reason to be run.

I have a feeling this is also to alleviate some of the crashes Lunaris causes for people using a 32bit OS. I hope that is part of it, as doing Piety runs will be off the table, if my game crashes if I have to load the level more than a couple times. Level 3 could be broken into 2 levels to make it more manageable memory wise.

Cheers for the update news, but I'm gutted to see that temple level 3 is being reduced in size. Why is this being done, just so that people can farm Peity faster ?
It was an enjoyable experience clearing that level, now it's less fun and more farm.

If that is the case then something is seriously wrong with the map system if it caters to groups and penalizes solo players.
So where is the play button for this?

Fairly vague. Are they talking about reworking the quantity values for affixes again or the drop rates within maps?

I disagree, there's not much difference in running a map solo, than in a party. Unless you ninja stuff that drops for other players, your drops won't really be different. And what is a few alterations or an Alch when running maps solo, not that big an "invesment."

Personally I've had the best results/fun running Alch'd maps 40-80% with a mapping partner. We get literally 1 Unique every other map. Just got a Marohi Erqi off the first white pack on one, and my partner got Vaults of Atziri off next map o_0
