My feedback after a year of playing PoE

Hi

I have suggested the idea before of adding new vendors, 1 random item vendor, and 1 map vendor the only problem is not enough orb drops, also the idea of reintroducing a MOC like area that has increased map drops and is random enough to take away those recurrent dock blues...but of course since joining CB all I have seen GGG do is take shortcuts and not return to add proper balance.

No response on reddit yet, lol.

cheers

I agree with nearly all, and thank for Fb anyway.

Chaos
YEs hard to deal with, but few chaos res on gear + life regen can help a lot to deal with chaos while you don't have +60 chaos resist

Viper strike big packs and cheap viper users at pvp makes u suffer more than anything at this game also invisible poison arrow clouds kills too quick even with +chaos resist in some situation.

Chaos res penalty was the downfall of this game things were much more balanced back at CB i completely agree with the things Victor wrote.

Just think of Epsi. He never gave up on AR and EV vs ES. Anytime it was brought up that dude would rattle on and on. Keep up the good fight.

It would also make testing the game much more easier, maybe i want to test lets say ice nova on a level 77 mob, i alch a 77 map in the lab i go test it, ill probably die if im underleveled but i can do it freely as i please, i am sure there are still people over level 80 who have not been in a 77 map, so why not let us do it?

Hmm. I never even thought of that part. Testing build tweaks and such would be a heck of a lot easier which would lead to more refined builds and potentially some new ones maybe? Even if not, it is still a huge bonus to high level builds ability to test new things vs monsters close to their level.

Aka, bump for a good thread ^_^

Actually I think he did give up. Hasn't been around in almost 3 months now. Sad, but true.

Good thread though, some good feedback, shame it will be ignored.

PS found Epsi's feedback thread from February and bumped it so people can see what you mean about him ranting on AR vs EV vs ES.

Yeah, dev's posted another "gem" on reddit about something that will be changing, though no specifics as of yet. Apparently this forum is only for things that are already happening, not discussions on what could be changed/improved.

And I remember Epsi from CB, why are so many of the great contributors just gone... Oh wait, I know why

The average number of fusings required is a lot less. Some people do it in just a handful if they're as lucky as Dominion was unlucky.
I notice a lot of comments about this being an example of how the crafting system is bad. Six-linked items are meant to be the pinnacle of achievement as far as the sockets game goes. If we made them a lot easier to get, then where would the ongoing economic challenge be?
There has been a lot of discussion about a more deterministic way to roll sockets. There are some very large dangers to this, but we're looking into a few systems that mitigate some of these dangers. I will update the manifesto with our ideas once they've made their way through the internal gauntlet that exists on our very opinionated design side of the office ;)
