Thinking about an idea of a guy/girl who just runs around not fighting and see's how long he can live, and pick up old drops from other players....

This isn't my build, in fact it's in legacy, but by god I want to see a youtube video of a GGG dev screaming into the mic as he plays this character.

Ok, decided to throw my character into this too.
Hes name is Xalen, He is a level 60 Shadow using lightning strike/flicker strike.
Build focuses mostly to critical strike chance/elemental damage, voll's protector is required also.
Started to use elemental proliferation with lightning strike which is very effective when monsters become shocked and damage taken increases. Using surgeon's godly vials gives good flask regen to this character and they charge fast because of the critical strikes.

baahahaha, I thought you were nuts when you said you were going to add it. It isn't something you can just add to your build easily, and overall would suck big time for hardcore.

I use a charge build, and had it linked pretty nicely, but it just doesnt do enough damage to not suck huge amounts of dick

Well, I'm perfectly fine with it if GGG wants to use my Ethereal Knives/Ice Spear build (I have a video of it in action here). It's got a few interesting mechanics, such as using Chaos Inoculation and Blood Rage to generate Frenzy charges without life degen, how Projectile Speed bonuses affect various spells, and showing how Added Fire Damage and the Hatred aura can be used on spells which do physical damage as well as on attacks. That character's name is "UristMcShearer" on the default realm.

I've also got a couple other characters that, IMO, have more interesting mechanics and presentation value. The first is "UristMcLyeMaker" on Legacy. It's basically a reworking of my old DoT specialist ranger (NEW VIDEO!). It uses Poison Arrow DoT, Burning Arrow with Proliferation, and Puncture with large amounts of skill duration/debuff duration and Temporal Chains and Vulnerability in an attempt to maximize DoT. All those duration bonuses also do interesting things to certain trap skills, Immortal Call, ect.

There's also "UristMcSpinner" on Legacy (older video here), which is a Point Blank Wand/Shield build with over 60% block. I find this to be a very interesting combination, at least in theory, though it lacks somewhat in visual allure. In the past, this character used Tempest Shield to return damage to ranged attackers while blasting targets at close range, but Tempest Shield has such a large mana reservation value now that it has rendered that option much less useful.

I'm not sure if any of these builds fit in with GGG's goals, but I'd love to see these or similar builds featured just because I personally find them so interesting.

I have a burning arrow proliferation build too, but a slightly different take:

max crit damage, crit chance, with a voll's and power charges. Also burning bonuses. Her name is WobblyCryingGiraffe, although I still need to do a bit more tweaking.

She uses a lot of unique bonuses:

the 10% elemental damage 2 curse boots support using both crit vulnerability and elemental vulnerability. She's using maligaro's gloves to maximise her crit damage, and when I get my reduced mana cost gem online she might even be using the -20% mana cost effect on low life of honorhome (i no, so weird!)

Quite a fun build.

Edit: DAMN I feel so cheated. No not by PoE. I have refrained from playing this character on my laptop and only play him when I'm at home on my gaming PC. This afternoon I log on and telleport to "Crossroads". While I'm setting my auras we have a power surge, my screen goes blank and I think my PC is off. After a few seconds I realize that my son's PC is still on. Check to see and discover mines still on as well. Realizing that my char is probably under attack I immediately disconnect my PC from the mains. Sadly it was too late :( My char is now in Default - so so SAD :'(

Main Skill: Frenzy with LMP - I remove the LMP when taking on Merveil and Brutus.

Secondry Skill: Lightning for Bosses

Auras: Discipline, Wrath, Anger & Grace - (are there any other non % auras that i could use?)

Other:
Curse: Projectile Weakness - Would prefer Temporal Chains but have not found one yet.
Totem: I absolutely LOVE Decoy totem

This has without a doubt been my favourite char to date. He is far from finished but OH boy can he mow down the mobs and still survive the odd knocks here and there.

Notes on the Passive Tree: I've been playing with the idea of removing the South East branch of my tree and heading out to the East for the Frenzy + 3x20% Elemental damage cluster. The only problem is the cost in HP I would loose.
Another option is to head out after the "Bloodless+Life" cluster down South West.
