These sort of rolls always leaving me doubting. Should I reroll for a generic 110% IIQ or just play it?

What do people think have the greatest chance of getting another 76+ map?

Its my experience that generic 100+ maps are utter garbage. Just risk with no reward. I never ever reroll pack + magic (heck, I run a map if it has either of the two), especially if it's very high roll like yours.

Well I ran it and got nothing but a 73 and a 68. I hate you :>

Sorry man :) But I dont think anyone would advise you to reroll that. I had similar maps with even higher quantity that dropped nothing at all, but generally those are the two mods you want.

(I also had maps with ~40% with no inhabitation affixes, that dropped 5+ maps -_-)

Appreciate your input.

I'm in the same position with this map

Reroll or run?

I've been very unlucky with map drops lately, seems like only if I roll 110%+ I get any map return.

^ I wouldn't pass a double Vaal fight :P

Anyway, the fact is that hidden random values of a map (seed or 'RNGesus') will have more impact on map drops than the visible quantity. I ran many 100%+ maps that were pure garbage and many 40% maps that gave plenty of maps in return. It's a local wild fluctuation, that smooths out in the long run.

Recognizing this and since I play solo (= more expensive than in a party), I stopped "rolling maps properly". I just alc & go everything up to 76, and only at this point start to pay attention at inhabitation + quantity. I got to high tiers by mostly just alc & go strategy. I started chiselling maps at 71, but now that I'm sitting at a high pool, I don't chisel anything below 76 and still get proper returns.

Maybe I was just lucky, dunno. I'm not saying this strategy will work for you, just that it worked for me, as I can prove with my current map pool:

Here's my map log. As you can see, I'm a real cheapskate when rolling maps. There are ups and downs, but in the long term my map pool grew up. (I stopped maintaining the log. I did several 76+ after the last entry and my high-map pool is still holding)

With my ST Scion I can do every mod combo there is and this really helps lowering the cost of maping. Tho I would usually reroll temporal chains, if the other mods are not favourable. Suicidal bosses get also reroled, if other mods are not favourable. For map progression killing the boss is not so important.

E:
Also note that in Domination I never bought a single map. I've grinded everything myself from 66s up.

Well done you. I don't have the patience for grinding, so I bought a stack of 71-74 and went from there.

I play solo and self-found only myself and the only reason this map is chiselled is because of the map drought I'm going through.

I have to agree with you about the underlying RNG. I've said it in other threads myself that the rolls on mobs, packs, magic packs (if you get 50% increased magic monsters, but the map rolled just 1 pack, it's not gonna do much for you) etc is far more important than the +IIQ on the map.

I have in the past been alching maps only, but since the drought, I've been spending way too much currency on maps. I'm going to run this one as is and then start to run maps again just alched.

Edit:

I ran the map and the returns were :

Spoiler

Not too bad.

Do these mods compete against eachother? Would you run or reroll this?

They probably do not stack right on top of eachother, as blue packs cant be yellow and vice versa, but they most definetely work together amazingly. Good luck in that sweet piece of map!
