" I have done maps with melee, ranged, spectral throw, summoner, CI cold spell witch, viper strike and more and I can't say that any type work better than any other. If your build works, ie deals enough damage while being able to stay alive. What is more important is to find what your build's strengths and weaknesses are. If you rely on mana regeneration then you do not want to run a map with the of Stasis suffix. If you rely on leech, either mana or life, you want to be careful with the of Smothering suffix. More than anything, you need experience of running maps and this is where the fun is. Because you will run the same maps over and over again and for every time you run it you will/want to get better at it and you find out what affixes works for your character. Also, some character work best solo and other characters work well in groups. I ran some maps with another character who used discharge(fire) and elemental equilibrium but he killed everything before the rest of the team had a chance to do anything useful. From his point of view, we were in the way, and from our point of view he made the maps boring. I also run many maps with a summoner and while me and a another friend do most of the damage the summoner can control the battlefield better by using his summons smartly. |

" i normally farm city of sarn or docks till im around 73 before i go into maps as a Hardcore / onslaught / Nemesis character... since City of sarn as melee is way better XP/Hour than Maps. atleast till 70 | |
Thanks and good job

What do you guys think about the diminishing returns on the rolled IIQ regarding the map drop chance in maps? I strongly suspect that there is significant effect there since release. This would suggest that (real) high IIQ actually doesnt help that much at all especially if you consider how painful some of the 120ish maps can be.
I find that change somewhat perplexing, as one would expect that real hard maps would at least balance with a better chance to progress through map tiers. Instead we have a situation where a cushy 80something with a more or less favorable population roll is many times better than a 125 or so monster with a lot of difficult mods stacked! ign: Kargorotha

Thanks very much for this resource! I refer to it often.
You might want to point out that Orchard maps vendor (3:1) to Sewer maps. After killing the boss once, I have no desire to run that map ever again. |

For size and layout comparison.
