What Happened with Items

I appreciate the update, and I really hope you can listen to feedback. I'm upset that you didn't put these changes into the context of the economic changes you made this league (exalts/divines). Nor did you feel to mention the crafting changes, which have led to more un-fun. Such massive changes taking place at the same time feels unnecessary.
I agree with taking things down a notch to lead to more development space. I believe there could be fascinating things in the future. I'm ok with a slower pace. But fishing for the right AN combo isn't it for me, nor is hoping to hit the lottery over and over with crafting. And the effects of ex/div changes seem like a slap in the face to those supporters.
There is a lot going on. Thank you for your time, but much more is needed. I wonder if there is a better/best place for me to give feedback.
--Things DO NOT feel good.
I just think it's shit that we have to prioritise item rarity and quantity as a solo player to get more drops and good items to drop. The game is hard as is even with the nerfs to Archnemsis. We have to prioritise crafting good items with stats that will keep our characters alive. Now you telling us that we also need to worry about item rarity and quanity?? I'm sorry but this is ridiculous. Maybe you should allow items to have 7 affixes, where item rarity and quantity have a very high chance of rolling on every piece we craft (chaos spamming/reroll harvest bench) and that drops. This is just my 5 cents. Thanks

Nope, not enough, Diablo time boys

Is this a Joke?
What must be wrong with somebody to crave on destroying happiness, and satisfaction for gamers - effectively destroying the revenue stream for company?
Thank you for the communication, but please reconsider consolidating reward drops to rare AN mobs. I'm definetly not a juicer and have been feeling burnt from low drops. AN modifiers are too much of a gamble to reliably make currency in this game, it feels like i shouldnt be mapping/progress my atlas to better gear my character.

Dear Chris,

It's great of you to take your time and explain it all to the community in a rather long thread, though it has taken you a week to put it all together.

First colum suggest that from your point of view game is now in good condition and you have fixed it.
Game is now amazingly less of a garbage than what it was at the beginning of the league, but that doesn't make it good or fun or exciting. It makes it less of what it was at the start.

Game had highest satisfaction from community during its peak at 3.13 (some would argue), never the less last 4-5 leagues your team has been trimming it left right and center. Flasks, defences, skills, loot drops, arch nemesis, slowing down the pace of the game where timing is extremely relevant in terms of loot and progression where 1 sec means a difference between death and life.
Every time somebody find a decent build that can do most of the content, obviously community jumps the wagon and tries it, because everybody wants to try/complete as much content as possible. And everytime fallowing league that build gets nerfed, that's not giving community more build diversity! That's ruining a little something that they have managed to achieve.

I might be the only one and probably very irrelevant number, but I've waited since Monday for this game to be rolled back to something that I have enjoyed and had fun with for many many hours.
I now see that this is not going to happen and your view of the POE current state is good, because according to you last few patches fixed it.

So I say to you, I'm out!
And to those that are having fun, I say good for you, enjoy whilst it lasts.
And the only regret I have is wasted money on buying supporter packs to support you and your team.

I'm sad the game I love is not fun to play anymore
Want to say sorry for all the more hateful comments you have to endure (not by me but even screwing up something big doesn't deserve vitriol or hate unless you are impacting peoples lives like a gov official or something).

That said, the game is still not in the best place.

Crafting has returned to RNG hell, and if that's what you want, you should clarify that so expectations are set accordingly.

Archnemesis seems to be hated by most and enjoyed by few. I think it's clear by this point that it should be re-evaluated and replaced by a different approach.

Currency drops, which is the core of character progression on multiple levels, is far too spikey. It seems like a drought with an occasional flash flood, and the unreliability of it diminishes motivation to improve one's character.

It's better to supply the small dopamine rushes periodically rather than nothing for a long while and then a massive dopamine rush when you find that incredibly rare archnemesis monster (assuming the character can even kill it because their gear is lacking because of the lack of drops ((currency)) leading up to that encounter).

Rare gear has such a low chance of being relevant that most people learn to avoid picking it up often because 99 times out of 100 it's worthless. Crafting upon those rares would make them more worthwhile but with the lack of currency and crafting options like we had in the past, well that's just not gonna happen.

The ability to gain more currency and gear and improve ones character is reliant on using currency as fuel for a lot of mechanics the game has. If that fuel is sparse, then the value proposition is poor and that can perpetuate into a cycle of little to no progression.

All of these points seem to come down to Archnemesis being the most important yet simultaneously the least enjoyable aspect of the game. Find a new approach to what your goals were with ArchNem and make currency a bit more accessible, even if the most extreme ends of acquisition are brought down a bit.

Not sure anyone will read this but I wanted to leave some feedback here as I don't use reddit. I do appreciate the explanation and apology but I fear that the dedication to the ArchNemesis system may crush the games overall potential.
