What Happened with Items

It's crazy that post kept saying things like "Perceived item drop rate" as if we aren't actively getting less drops.

gaslighting at its finest
oops I hope I don't get banned for saying that
Dammit I can't stay mad at you. I am much happier to hear all of this and I thank you and all of GGG.

That said....
Harvest still sucks.
I have no alternatives to gearing my self without harvest currently in the game.
I had to do 6 days of chaos recipe to afford gear so I can get to yellow maps.
This is by far my worst league start.

Please chris, Why can't we have a worth while crafting system?

Also a rare just 2 hours ago killed me 6 times. I even tried to skip him but he kept teleporting to me and killing me till i lost all my portals. This doesn't seem far. please do a offensive nerf to archnem too

Did they say its fixed ?
Appreciate the post Chris, I still have a lot of optimism for the future of PoE...just a really unfortunate series of events and updates that has made the game not feel like the game I have fallen in love with.
Thank you Chris.

I understand that with a complex game like this, with fast updates and compounding game mechanics, things like this are bound to happen. Sometimes what devs may have wanted or what was intended and communicated, or perhaps was not stated fully, will be different from what the community and the players understand or expected. All in all compared to other games, your response in this issue was quick and timely. I for one appreciated this, even though I'm not entirely affected by all that has happened so far. I'm still enjoying the game and trudging along my slow casual pace till end-league.

From a casual scrub still playing and having fun,
Thank you and wishing you well.

So not only you killed this league... you just killed whole game if you are not going to revert or really "buff" loot drops... actual state of game is super far from being ok... we can't even sustain basic currency and counting on one extrarare mob you will encounter once per 500-1000 maps is really joke... I really love this game but these changes took fun and excitement from it and without these you can really fast expect that we will quit and uninstal untill you really listen to us.
AN mod is fine

drop is fine

just look into harvest and do something about it
Thanks for your post, I really appreciate explanations of the design philosophy.

With the speed at which POE changes there's no doubt going to be rough edges in the balance of the game. And yet, POE is an incredible game and I hope folks realize that's true even after the 'nerfs' this league.

Good luck and stay strong GGG..
Do you have any idea what a huge Impact on the economy the changes have been. You talk about most players not beign affected, and 6-man groups "only" feeling this nerf. Appart from the fact that EVERYONE clearly feels that they get fuck-all from normal mapping, especially in map-drops, small currencies ect. The truth is that the economy is centered around a few dedicated 6-man groups doing the hardcore grinding. They create a lot of wealth that will trickle down in the economy. This will affect everyone involved and we feel it pretty bad.

Secondly: NO WORD about Harvest and by proxy the current state of crafting. Without "Reforge, keeping suffixes/prefixes" end game crafting has become so much more difficult its pointless. This removal alone is such a big gamechanger The entire community will feel the reduction in the crafting ceiling already. Theres no point to play for me and others, if its statisticly impossible for me to craft the items we had full access to, in 3.18.

Why were none of these changes not documented in the Patchnotes either? Was there also a major communication fuck-up that made you guys remove those crafts?
In the Announcement trailer it was said "Filler crafts and crafts with deterministic outcomes" Yet no filler crafts, like crafts for Flaks (that no one will ever use) or Enchants to body armour, which are so minor noone cares, were touched. Instead you removed one of the if not the most IMPORTANT craft that Harvest had to offer. The game was absolutely fine for the last years when we had this craft, i cannot think of any other reason to remove that craft other than to severly limit maximum player power right there where it hurts.

Thanks so much for the heartfelt post, Chris. I'm sorry you felt like you had to make it, but kudos to you for doing so as you did. Much love to your and your whole team. We love your game <3.
