First get max level Vitality and Purity, then see about getting Elemental Adaptation if that's not enough.

" Assuming you have 650 max hp, maxed purity and vitality, and picked up elemental adaptation you would need ~4940 ES to sustain RF. If you're adamant about using your new shield the best way to do so would be to either acquire lvl 20 purity/vitality and invest in elemental adaptation and the 30% shield es nodes to the top left corner, or use shavs ring for the 4% es regen. That being said, I would strongly advise you to reequip springleaf and wait until you're able to upgrade other slots so that using your rare shield isn't so cumbersome. Your gear is borderline, almost endgame. Even with a mirrored shield you need to grab the ES on shield nodes (that's 4 skill points) to get in the 6-7k ES range. In top of that your helmet is a weak link, 149 ES simply won't cut it. I run a 235 ES helmet and that's dangerously low already.
If you really want to run that shield you need to grab the ES on shield nodes, get a better helmet and may (calculate it beforehand) still have to get the Shavs ring. Or you just get the Shavs ring. Else wait for a mirrored shield. Not sure about Anarchy prices but Standard has reached 90-100ex per mirror. Hello darkness my old friend..

Thx a lot guys, the main reason I want to run the shield is that I can finally start doing Piety (I am farming Lunaris only, mapping is out of question cos dont have Shavs and getting mirrored shield thats 100 ex lol I dont see myself to ever get this much, let say RNGs been b*** to me so far) and the shield increases my ES from 3K to 4.8 so kinda a big deal. I rly dont want to run the shavs ring cos it would hinder my MF a lot + no mana regen is kinda meh
Ok ill buy the lvl 20 purity and vitality and get the ES shield nodes, btw what should I drop for it? Static Blows or the spell damage nodes near the start? | |
" It's not hard to work out how much ES you need; maybe could try doing the math before plonking down for the lvl 20 purity and vitality. The degen number is (100-fire res) x max life. For example at 78% FR and 600 life, the degen is .22x600, or 132 es/s. A lvl 20 purity would raise it to 79%FR, degen would be .21x600, or 126 es/s. Open the character info screen, on the last tab, the ES regen number is shown there, the number you need to break even (for RF to work) is the degen number calculated above. If you already have the gear/gems to try out, by all means fool around and see if RF still works. But if you were going to buy the stuff (esp expensive stuff) or commit passive points, i would certainly suggest doing the math part first. *Springleaf's 6% regen alone is more than all the ES regen from items/passives/gems combined. | |
" I used to think the same. Now I got a mirrored item, another mirror in my stash and am getting closer to my third overall. You save up for a while and suddenly you got 40ex.. 50..70..90.. and can afford a mirror somehow. In your shoes I'd put all my efforts towards getting a mirror. Skip everything else, even Shavs. I got the funny feeling Shavs will be nerfed after or during release, either by nerfing the actual item or them releasing an item with similar stats. " Ye I know what you mean, but thing is after so many hours of farm Ive found 1 decent item (Rainbowstride), not a single rare that was worth to sell, thousands of rares sold to vendor so basically my income only comes from chaos recipe and selling rares for alts:( and getting mirror from this is kinda unimaginable, basically what I farm is covered by price inflation of mirror so in fact I am actually "not saving" for it. I am farming lvl 2 and 3 Lunaris and Docks only but funny thing is Docks seems more profitable to me cos faster clear speed, I farm Lunaris more then Docks but thats cause the xp, never got anything decent there... Also I want to equip my other 2 chars (discharger and blender), playing only sporker and nothing else I would die from boredom ^^ If you would share your farming secret, or is it just Lunaris 24/7?
